Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who have chosen this path have resolved themselves to enduring anything the world can throw at them. Through endless hours of meditation, monks of this tradition have learned how to ignore pain and relieve themselves of mental suffering. Through endless hours of training, these monks have also learned how to not feel pain at all. The Way of the Iron Body was inspired by and emulates a long, lost immortal creature of legend said to bring catastrophe. Characterized by tenacity and perseverance, monks who have chosen to follow this tradition seek to master their bodies and defenses, and in doing so, can be granted keen insight into bypassing the defenses of others.

Iron Endurance

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to use your ki to enhance your body to endure punishment as well as how to break the defenses of others.

Immovable Object. Whenever you use Patient Defense, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage until the end of your next turn and you have advantage on ability checks and saving throws to resist being grappled, restrained, forcibly moved, or knocked prone.

Unstoppable Force. Your unarmed strikes ignore resistance to bludgeoning damage.

Doctrine of Fortitude

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Survival and Medicine skills, if you don't already have them. You learn the skills necessary to preserve the life of yourself and others.

Wrecking Fists

At 6th level, your fists become as hard as iron and demolish all in your path. Before you make an unarmed strike, you can choose to take a -3 penalty to your attack rolls. If the attack hits, you can add +5 to the attack's damage.

Additionally, your damage with unarmed strikes against objects and structures is doubled.

Deflect Strikes

Beginning at 11th level, you learn how to best brace yourself for impact at a moment's notice, protecting yourself and your allies, and turn that energy back toward your enemies. Whenever you or an ally within 5 feet of you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Constitution modifier + your Monk level. If that damage is reduced to 0, you can spend 1 ki point to make an Attack against that opponent as part of the same reaction.

Stance of the Slumbering Titan

At 17th level, you master the stance unique to your order. As an action, you can spend 5 ki points to infuse into your body. For 1 minute, you gain resistance to all damage except for psychic damage and your melee attacks can push enemies 5 feet away from you if they are Large or smaller. After using this action, it requires concentration to maintain.

While you are concentrating on maintaining this stance, you can use your Deflect Missiles feature on spells and spell-like effects requiring ranged attack rolls.
