Base Class: Monk

Turtle monks are attuned to the ways of the turtle, being able to swim at great speeds and hold their breath for huge amounts of time, they have also taken on the mighty defense of the turtle and can harness their Ki to create barriers that defend them against attacks.

 

Turtle Tracks

You can hold your breath for 8 hours, talk to turtles, spend 10 minutes meditating to summon a turtle messenger when by the sea and your swim speed is equal to your land speed.

 

Ki Shell

At 6th level, you have managed to focus your Ki to create a barrier on command to deflect blows that come just a little too close for comfort.

Once per long rest as a reaction, you can add half your monk level to your AC until the start of your next turn.

 
 

Turtle Power!

Starting at 11th level, you can use your martial prowess you've been able to master the ability to disarm or otherwise disable your opponents from long range (20ft) by throwing your own weapon to knock theirs out of their hand, trip them up or pin them to the wall the saving throw to prevent any of these is 8 + WIS + Proficiency Modifier. A slight change to grapple rules, instead of your character being the grappler, your weapon is and so the opponent cannot be dragged unless another creature grapples it and drags them with it, also in order to escape the grapple they must make an Athletics or Acrobatics saving throw against the DC instead of an opposed check as normal. You can spend 2 Ki points to make this a bonus action.

You can now use the disarm, knock prone and grapple actions at a range of 20ft with an Athletics DC of 8 + WIS + Proficiency Modifier. You can spend 2 Ki points to make this a bonus action.

 

Hero in a Half-Shell

At 17th level, you have mastered the art of the ninja allowing you to evade attacks, spells, and traps whenever without compromising your Ki or offensive abilities. You can also do this at a higher level than most others allowing you to use your knowledge and study of different fighting techniques to help to avoid attacks.

You can use the Dodge action as a bonus action without using a Ki point and when you do, you gain your WIS modifier as a bonus to your AC in addition to the bonus already provided by Unarmored Defense.
