Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks that walk a Way of the Swordmaster are few and far between. They are a secluded eccentrics that seeks perfection in their art of using a sword. For them, sword is not just a mere tool, it is a part of their body and a lens to study world around themselves. They consider nature eternal and perfect and thus draw inspiration from it for their techniques, striving to improve their imperfect beings into a state of perfection.
This tradition is taught in no monastery, rarely it’s passed from master to apprentice but most that walk this Way are self-taught trailblazers who hone themselves by experience, either by trial by fire or in secluded meditations far from reach of any civilisation.

Swordmaster’s Weapon

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with all one-handed swords (shortsword, longsword, scimitar, rapier). Furthermore, all one-handed sword count as a monk weapon for you. For all abilities listed below, you must wield Swordmaster’s Weapon.

Impregnable Defence

When you focus on defending against single opponent, it takes a work of a master warrior to pass your defences.
When an enemy makes melee attack against you, you can choose to use your sword to defend yourself and add +2 to your AC against that creature’s attacks as a reaction. You must declare this reaction before your enemy makes his attack roll.

Complicated Sword Techniques

Using your dedication to mastery of a sword and ki in your body to strike faster than any mortal and lead your sword in more complicated patterns.
Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make two strikes with Swordmaster’s Weapon as a bonus action.

Marvellous Swordplay

Finding your inspiration in nature around, you derive your attack patterns from four elements.
At 6th level, you can to spend 3 ki points as a bonus action and gain 2 additional sword strikes. On first hit, you start your combo and apply first effect. Every following attack that hits gives your strike next effect, but should you miss, your combo is broken. You can always use all 4 attacks, even if your combo is broken, but no additional effects are applied. All attacks of Marvellous Swordplay are magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
(E.g., You spend 2 ki points and perform Marvellous Swordplay. Example 1: You land a hit on first and second attack but miss third and succeed again with fourth strike, so you apply first and second effect on your target and roll normal damage on your fourth strike. Example 2: You miss first attack and land a hit on all following attacks. In this case, you apply all three effect, applying first effect on a second attack [first attack that hit] and so forth.)

Perfection in Simplicity

You found perfection in simplicity, one word to describe all, one thought to make anything true, one strike to kill.
At 17th level you can you declare how many attacks you will do at a beginning of your attack action.  As a reaction, when you land a hit, you can expend up to 3 ki points to unify up to 2 following attacks (1 ki for an attack that hits + 1 ki for each following attack you wish to unify), into one successful hit. You add your damage modifier multiplied by number of unified attacks to your damage. DC for any Save Throw counts as if it was only one powerful attack.
