Acolyte (Lost In Time) Image

You come from a distant future, where advanced technology and time manipulation are the norm. However, through a twist of fate or a malfunction in a time-travel ritual, you have found yourself stranded in a different era. The journey through time has left you with fragmented memories, and your knowledge of the future is obscured. You are a lost time traveler, searching for answers and trying to piece together your forgotten past.

Skill Proficiencies: Investigation, Survival
Tool Proficiencies: One type of artisan's tools, one type of gaming set
Languages: Two of your choice
Equipment: A mysterious timepiece (no longer working), a set of traveler's clothes, and a pouch containing 15 gp.

Feature: Echoes of the Future

Although your memories of the future are hazy and incomplete, you still retain echoes of your advanced knowledge and experiences. You gain the following benefits:

  • Advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) checks made to decipher or analyze technology or devices from your future era.
  • Once per long rest, you can attempt to recall a fragment of future knowledge related to a specific event, item, or creature. The Dungeon Master determines the information you recall, and it is limited to the present circumstances and immediate surroundings.
  • When you encounter a technological device or construct from your future era, you can spend 1 hour studying it. This allows you to make a DC 15 Intelligence check. On a success, you gain a temporary understanding of its basic functionality, allowing you to operate or activate it as if you were proficient with it. However, you lack any specialized skills or knowledge required for its full potential.
