Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Monastic Tradition of the Soul Bow focuses much more on fighting with ranged weapons- particularly with bows. They focus their spiritual energy into the pull of the bowstrings, unleashing a powerful shot of spiritual energy with the release of their arrows. Formidable both up close and at long range these monks use their far-reaching abilities to excel as hunters, warriors, and guardians of the spiritual realm.

Path of the Soul Bow

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your special martial arts training leads you to master the use of ranged weapons. You gain the following benefits.

Ranged Training. You gain proficiency with one ranged weapon, which is considered a monk weapon for you.

Spiritual Replenishment. Critical hits made with a ranged monk weapon attack restore 1 ki point, up to your total ki point maximum.

Hail of Arrows

Channeling your Ki through your Bow Arm, you can loose shots with superhuman speed:

Hail of Arrows. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make another ranged attack as a Bonus Action.

Ki Infused Arrows

Starting at 6th level, you can imbue your arrows with ki to create a variety of effects:

Stunning Shot. You shot hits with debilitating force on an opponent's body. When you hit another creature with a ranged weapon attack you can spend 1 ki point to attempt a stunning shot. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn.

Splitting Shot. Your arrow multiplies into many which shoot forward and then disappear. When you attempt a ranged weapon attack you can spend 2 ki points to attempt a splitting shot. Each creature in a 30-foot cone must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 2d8 damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Charged Shot. Your arrow becomes infused with ki, dealing extra damage. When you hit another creature with a ranged weapon attack you can spend 1 ki point to attempt a charged shot. The creature sustains additional force damage equal to twice your Wisdom modifier.

Spirit Bow

At 11th level, you gain the ability to augment your weapons further with your ki. As a bonus action, you can expend up to 3 ki points to grant one ranged weapon you touch a bonus to attack and damage rolls when you attack with it. The bonus equals the number of ki points you spent. This bonus lasts for 1 minute or until you use this feature again. This feature has no effect on a magic weapon that already has a bonus to attack and damage rolls.

Ki Infused Arrow - Bursting Shot

At 11th Level, you gain the ability to infuse your arrow with a massive amount of ki energy, causing the shot to explode with power when it lands. When you hit another creature with a ranged weapon attack you can spend 3 ki points to attempt a bursting shot. Immediately after the arrow hits the creature, the target and all other creatures within 10 feet of it take 6d6 force damage each.

Unerring Accuracy

At 17th level, you can lock your arrows onto your target's spiritual energy.  If you miss with an attack roll using a ranged weapon on your turn, you can reroll it.  You can use this feature only once on each of your turns.  You cannot use this feature on constructs or undead (or other creatures that don't have souls).

Soul Rend

At 17th Level, you have mastered the art of firing your arrows not just through a target's physical being, but through their spirit aswell.

By spending 2 ki points you may increase the number of damage dice rolled for your selected ranged weapon.  You may spend an additional 2 ki points to increase the number of damage dice further to a maximum of 3 extra damage dice at a total of 6 ki points spent, the extra dice you roll deal psychic damage.

If you kill a target with this attack, it rips their soul from their body and allows you to absorb their spiritual power, restoring half the ki points spent to make the attack.  This attack has no effect on constructs or undead.
