Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Order of the Wrathful fist was first organized to give troubled monks a means to channel their deep seeded anger into their Martial Arts, turning the practice into its own form of moving meditation to help quiet the whirlwind of ire. Most lost youth or troubled, downcast souls that find their way to the Order often find themselves unable to hear the gods, or no longer care for what they have to say. Seeing the crisis of faith and a loss of hope, the Order's philosophy shifted away from the cosmic and inward toward a path entirely devoted to  asceticism. Do not rely on the gods, the strength you need is already within you. Do not let the wrath consume you, you are more than a single focus. Do not be trapped by transitory power, only what you build yourself will remain your own for all time.

Closed Fist Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your enemy's ki when you harness your own. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your flurry of blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:

  • It must succeed on a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, until the end of your next turn, successful Stunning Strikes on the target instead knock the target unconscious.
  • It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw. If it fails, it provokes an attack of opportunity. This attack of opportunity may also apply one of the other two Closed Fist Techniques if it succeeds.
  • It must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw. If it fails, it falls on the initiative roster (Monk's Wisdom Mod) lower.

Go With the Flow

At 6th level, your intense focus in mastering martial techniques and honing your body into an ideal weapon have developed a deep appreciation of the Art in martial arts. When you do any of the following actions, regain 1 Ki:

  • Make a target Stunned
  • Knock a Target Unconscious
  • Pass a dexterity saving throw
  • Successfully land an attack of opportunity

Singular Focus

At 11th level, your training pours its' intentions into the enemy in front of you. When you use Flurry of Blows, all attacks must be made against one target that turn. While this tunnel vision can sometimes blind a Monk to the larger battle around them, the unrelenting assault grants the following benefits:

  • Heavy Handed - +1 Attack and Damage (Force) at level 11, +3  at level 16, and +5  at level 20 (Unarmed attacks only)
  • Combination Strikes - Gain a bonus to the DC of your Stunning Strikes equal to your Dexterity bonus.

Open Heart, Closed Fist

At 17th level, you have moved past studying technique, now devoting your training into the power behind the movements. Through your mastery of Ki you are able to empower each strike with the magnitude of your very soul. When you successfully hit a target you may spend up to (Wisdom Bonus + Dexterity Bonus) Ki, dealing 2d10 Force Damage for every Ki spent. The target must then succeed on a Constitution saving throw or immediately be stunned.
