Beast Morph
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to adapt to your surroundings in the most effective way. As a bonus action by expending one Ki point, you tap into the natural energies within and morph a portion of your body, gaining slight animalistic traits. You stay this way for one hour or until canceled and you may only have one morph active at a time and you cannot gain a fly speed or climbing speed.
Beast Morph- You may turn a portion of your body into that of a beast of large or smaller size that you have seen before and is of CR rating 1/4 or lower, this increases to 1/2 at 4th level and 1 at 8th level. You may morph an entire section of your body, such as an arm, or your arms and legs, or you may localize it into a smaller portion, such as a hand or eye.
Beast Attacks- Attacks with an unarmed appendage count as an unarmed strike, and thus, benefit from all of your monk abilities. When dealing damage with a morphed appendage, you use the damage dice from the beast that you are morphed into, but your modifiers.
Defensive Beast Morph- You may change a portion of your body to be a hard outer shell, or turn your skin into a tough carapace. While you are not wearing armor, you gain a +2 to your AC while doing this. This may also consist of spines growing out of your skin or spiky rough skin, which causes all melee attacks against you while you are not wearing armor to take 1D4 damage.
Aquatic Beast Morph- You may grow gills to breathe underwater, and/or you may grow webbed feet and/or fingers to gain a swim speed equal to your walking speed.
One With The Wild
You have a deeper understanding of the animals you learned from, you can cast the Speak With Animals spell a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per day
Morphing Adept
At 6th level, your connection with the wilds deepens, allowing you to better use your animalistic abilities and granting you the following benefits
- Your beast morph attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
- Whenever you get the killing blow on a creature or land a critical hit on an attack with a beast morph, you regain one Ki point.
- You can now gain a climb speed equal to your walking speed using a beast morph.
- Draining Rend- Your connection to nature allows you to absorb the life from your target. On a hit with one of your morphed unarmed strikes, you may expend 2 Ki points to gain back the damage you dealt in healing.
- Ram's Charge- You channel the force of a ram on a hit by expending 1 ki point on a hit, you cause your target to make a Strength saving throw against your save DC after it takes damage, or be pushed directly back 15 ft and knocked prone.
- Chameleon's camouflage- You take on the aspect of the chameleon by gaining the benefits of the Invisibility spell. You may do this once per day
It's Morphin Time!
At 11th level you have strengthened your connection to the living wild, furthering your ability to morph and gaining the following traits,
- You may have two morphs active at one time
- You may be morphed for up to 5 hours per morph
- You may use one of your morphs on wings or other similar appendages, giving you a fly speed equal to your walking speed
- Venom Empowered Strike- You power up one of your attacks with 2 ki points and the venom of a beast. On a hit you cause the target to make a constitution saving throw against your save DC, or suffer the poisoned condition for one hour. This also causes disadvantage on all saving throws. This poison can be healed with the magic of lesser restoration or similar magic.
- Resistance Hide- As a reaction when you take damage, you may expend 2 ki points to gain resistance to the triggering damage until the start of your next turn. Additionally, you may use 3 ki points to gain resistance to one damage type of your choice for one hour. If you had a resistance active at the start of your turn, then it only costs 1 ki point to gain resistance for 1 hour.
Master of the Wilds
At 17th level, you reach the final stage in your connection to the wild. You can have up to three beast morphs active at one time, they no longer cost a ki point to activate, and your beast morphs last indefinitely or until you chose to unmorph.
