Base Class: Warlock
You were not born into magic as sorcerers are; nor did you have the means to enroll in a school as bards or wizards do. Despite every barrier that was in your path, you have found your way to power. Whether by foolishness or intellect, you have attracted the attention of a being who is interested in what they may learn from your experiences. Patrons likely to make Scholar warlocks are the Witch Queen Iggwilv, the Lord Mage of Greyhawk Mordenkainen, or Zushaxx, Xanathar of the Waterdeep Thieves' Guild.
Expanded Spell List
A contract with a Scholar patron lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
Level 1 Spells: Detect Magic, Identify
Level 2 Spells: Locate Object, Zone of Truth
Level 3 Spells: Clairvoyance, Sending
Level 4 Spells: Fabricate, Locate Creature
Level 5 Spells: Legend Lore, Wall of Force
Practiced Instincts
At level 1, your uncanny ability to sense the ways of the world gives you an edge on most other people. You can expend your give yourself advantage on ability checks and saving throws. You can use this ability twice and regain all expended uses on a long rest.
You gain proficiency either Arcana or Investigation. At level 10, that proficiency becomes expertise.
Mystical Tinkering
At 6th level, you learn how to manipulate the normal conditions of a spell to better suit your needs. You learn two metamagic options from the sorcerer's class list which would normally cost one sorcery point to use. You learn one additional single-point-cost metamagic at level 10. You may use each metamagic option once per long rest without needing a sorcery point. If you have access to sorcery points, such as by having levels in the Sorcerer class or the feat Metamagic Adept, you may use those points to use a metamagic again.
Interdisciplinary Study
At 10th level, you have accumulated knowledge of the arcane to begin emulating spells not normally available to Warlocks. Choose an arcane spellcaster class: Artificer, Bard, Sorcerer, or Wizard. You gain one cantrip from that class's spell list. From this level on, whenever you gain a new spell through the Pact Magic feature, you may select spells of your chosen class's spell list. This ability also allows you to place non-ritual spells into spellbooks acquired through the Ritual Caster or Pact of the Tome features, following the same time and monetary cost.
Concentration Multitasking
At 14th level, you have honed your mind into a powerful and agile tool. You are able to maintain concentration on two different spells. If you roll to maintain concentration after taking damage, roll for each spell separately.
When you use this feature, you gain one level of exhaustion when your concentration on one of the spells ends. Only by finishing a long rest can you remove a level of exhaustion gained in this way.
