Monk
Base Class: Monk

Those who follow the Way of the Road Brawler are determined to never stop increasing their power no matter the cost. They're always seeking stronger opponents, willing to go anywhere to fight anytime. They travel light, never taking weapons, and only carry the money they need for travel or supplies. Not usually interested in worldly possessions that might slow them down.

Relentless Combinations

You have learned how to ensure your follow-up attacks always land by constantly keeping the pressure on your opponent. This feature grants an increasing bonus to your attack rolls based on the number of attacks you've landed this turn. For example, a 3rd level monk with a +4 bonus to attack rolls takes the Attack action and uses Flurry of Blows as a bonus action. The first attack roll on their turn will have a +4 to the attack roll, If the attack was successful their next attack roll has an additional +1 bonus to the attack roll for a total bonus of +5. Then if the second attack was successful the third attack will have an additional +2 bonus to the attack roll for a total bonus of +6.

There are a few things that can interrupt the flow of your combination attacks. Things such as missing an attack, taking damage, or having to move more than 5 feet between your attacks will remove any bonus to attack rolls you have gained from this feature this turn. You also lose any bonus to attack rolls gained from this feature at the start of each of your turns.

Enhanced Techniques

Through your training and combat experience, when you choose this tradition at 3rd level you are now capable of performing the following special actions in combat.

Rising Uppercut - You perform a powerful leaping uppercut lifting the target creature into the air with you. This is a special melee attack. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is bludgeoning and its damage die is 2d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. Hitting a creature with this attack forces the target to make a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone. After hitting a creature with an unarmed strike, as a part of your Attack action, you may spend a ki point to perform this attack as a bonus action.

Leaping Spin Kicks - You perform a series of airborne spinning kicks pushing the target creature away from you. This is a special melee attack. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is bludgeoning and its damage die is 2d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. Hitting a creature with this attack forces the target to make a Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 10 feet away from you. After hitting a creature with an unarmed strike, as a part of your Attack action, you may spend a ki point to perform this attack as a bonus action.

Energy Blast - You hurl a condensed ball of energy at a target creature. This is a ranged spell attack with a range of 15 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is force, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action. When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.

Focused Assault - You pour all of your concentration into delivering a single devastating blow. This is a special melee attack. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is bludgeoning and its damage die is 3d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. Hitting a creature with this attack disorients them reducing their movement speed to 0 until they take damage or until the end of your next turn. Additionally; attacks against that creature have advantage until the end of your next turn or until they take damage. If you do not have the Extra Attack feature this attack takes both your action and bonus action to perform.

Killing Intent

Causing pain and suffering reinvigorates you. Starting at 6th level when you end a creature's life or do significant damage to them, by landing four or more attacks in a single turn, you assimilate their ki into your own gaining a ki point.

Advanced Techniques

When you reach 11th level you learn two special combination attacks. You can only have one special combination prepared at a time. At the end of a long rest you may change the special combination you have prepared.

Direct Onslaught

You perform a Focused Assault attack followed by Leaping Spin Kicks and two Energy Blast attacks. This special combination costs 5 ki points to perform, and these attacks benefit from the Relentless Combinations class feature.

Rising Star

You unleash a barrage of three Rising Uppercut attacks. If the first attack hits the second and third attacks do not miss. This special combination costs 4 ki points to perform

Ultimate Technique

At 17th level, you have discovered the final technique this path has to offer, a nearly endless torrent of blows from every direction. Due to the sheer brutality of this final technique it is capable of destroying the target's soul, preventing resurrection by anything short of a Wish spell. When you use this action, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails or has less than 100 hit points, it is reduced to 0 hit points. If it succeeds, it takes a d10 necrotic damage per Monk level. A creature too large to grapple succeeds automatically. This actions costs 11 ki points to perform.
