Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Obsidian Fist are disciples of the fiery forces that dwell within the heart of the volcano. Through their intense training, they harness the power of fire and manipulate the molten earth to unleash devastating strikes and protect their allies. They walk the path of balance, wielding the destructive nature of fire with discipline and precision.
Inferno Manipulation
At 3rd level, you gain the ability to manipulate fire and harness its power. You gain resistance to fire damage, and you can use your Ki points to fuel your fire-based abilities.
- Burning Palm: When you hit with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon, you can spend 1 Ki point to imbue your attack with fire. The target takes an additional 1d6 fire damage.
- Blazing Strikes: As an action, you can spend 2 Ki points to wreath your fists in flames. Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d8 fire damage for 1 minute.
Lava Flow
At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel the flow of lava and create hazardous terrain. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 Ki points to create a 15-foot square of difficult terrain in a space within 30 feet of you. This terrain is considered rough and deals 2d6 fire damage to any creature that starts its turn in the area.
Obsidian Form
Starting at 11th level, you can expend 4 Ki points to transform your body into living obsidian. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
- Molten Armor: You gain resistance to all damage except force damage.
- Blazing Fury: Your unarmed strikes are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks. When you take the Attack action, you can make one additional unarmed strike.
Volcanic Eruption
At 17th level, you can unleash a devastating burst of flame and molten rock. As an action, you can spend 6 Ki points to create a 20-foot-radius sphere of fire centered on yourself. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC, taking 10d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, the area becomes difficult terrain for 1 minute.
Harmony of the Inferno
Starting at 17th level, you have mastered the balance between destruction and creation. When you spend Ki points to use your Obsidian Fist features, you regain hit points equal to your monk level divided by 2 (rounded down). Additionally, your Burning Palm and Blazing Strikes features deal an additional 1d6 fire damage.

Burning Palm
- Burning Palm: When you hit with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon, you can spend 1 Ki point to imbue your attack with fire. The target takes additional fire damage equal to your martial arts die.
Burning Strikes
3rd-level Way of the Obsidian Fist feature
As an action, you can spend 2 Ki points to wreath your fists in flames. Your unarmed strikes deal an additional martial arts die equal to two sizes larger than your current level in fire damage for 1 minute.
Lava Flow
