Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Monastery aim to perfect the art of conjuring a "Monastery." These monks devote their lives to summoning manifestations of their powers. They imbue their Ki into spheres of potential which strengthen their abilities at the cost of their stamina. Very, very few warriors can match the consistency of a monk who's in their Monastery.
Conjure Monastery
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can create a manifestation of your monastery using your Ki. As an action, you can spend 3 Ki Points to create a 10 foot radius sphere centered on a point you can see within 90 feet. Whenever you make an attack roll against a creature in this radius, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
Creating this sphere requires a hand gesture, often one passed down to you from your teacher, which you must do as part of this action. Clapping or clasping your hands together is among the most common, but other hand gestures are possible. If your hands are bound, or you are unable to make your chosen gesture, this feature does not work. The environment inside of the sphere is altered, appearing as a landscape resembling your monastery or resembles some other significant aspect of your life or powers.
This sphere lasts for 1 minute or until you lose concentration (as if concentrating on a spell.)
Temple Barrier
At 6th level, your Monastery gains a hard to break barrier which prevents those inside from leaving To enter or exit your Monastery, a creature must succeed on a Strength (Athletics) check contested by your Ki save DC. They can make this check as part of their movement, but can only try once on each of their turns. If the barrier cuts through a creature's space when it appears, the creature is pushed to one side of the wall (your choice which side). If they cannot fit inside the Monastery, then they are forced outside of it automatically.
When you summon your Monastery you can choose any number of creatures you can see, including yourself, to be immune to this effect.
Monastery Expansion
Beginning at 11th level, you can increase the effort you put into summoning your Monastery to strengthen its dominion over your foes. As part of the action you take to conjure your Monastery, or as an action on subsequent turns, you can spend additional Ki points to change the size of the Monastery. For every 2 Ki points, the radius of the sphere increases by 5 feet. Alternatively, you can spend 2 Ki points to shrink the Monastery down to a 5 foot radius sphere.
If the Monastery is made to be larger than it otherwise would, creatures have advantage on their Strength (Athletics) checks made to break through your barrier. If the Monastery is instead shrunk, creatures have disadvantage on their Strength (Athletics) check instead.
Absolute Domain
At 17th level, you have perfected your Monastery, allowing you to imbue all of your strength into your Monastery in a single decisive burst. As an action, you can spend 8 Ki Points to create a 15 foot radius sphere centered on you. Each creature in that area, other than you, must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a target takes 6d10 force damage and becomes stunned until the end of it's next turn.
This form of your Monastery requires a specific hand sign or signal unique to you, which you must do as part of this action. If your hands are bound, or you are unable to make your chosen gesture, this feature does not work. Often, this Monastery looks very different from your traditional one, usually more profound and otherworldly. Maybe an infinite void in which everything is blank, or a ravenous cave filled with acid and a throne which you sit upon. Often, this power reflects the users soul purer than anything in the world can.
Using this ability drops concentration on your Conjure Monastery, if it is active.
