Base Class: Wizard
The Tradition of the Red Mage is a style that blends sword, sorcery, the divine. A wizard studying the Tradition of the Red Mage broadens their scope instead of specializing solely on arcane casting. They have adapted their arcane magic to replicate spells granted by the divine through worship. They are able to channel the destructive power of these two conflicting forces into a weapon, waiting for an opportune moment to unleash the energy upon their foes in a spectacle of skill and radiance
Blended Styles
Beginning at 2nd level, you train to blend swordplay with magic of both arcane and divine nature. When you adopt this tradition at 2nd level, you gain proficiency with one type of one-handed melee weapon of your choice. Add Sacred Flame as a bonus cantrip to the list of your cantrips known.
Choose two cleric spells of 1st level from the cleric spell list. When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn a wizard spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from one of those cleric spells. They do not count against your wizards spells known and are always prepared.
At 6th level, you can choose two additional cleric spells of 2nd level and 3rd from the cleric spell list that you can learn through your Spellcasting feature.
At 10th level, you can choose two additional cleric spells of 4th level and 5th level from the cleric spell list that you can learn through your Spellcasting feature.
At 14th level, you can choose two additional cleric spells of 6th level and 7th level from the cleric spell list that you can learn through your Spellcasting feature.
RESONANT BLADE
When you cast a spell during combat while wielding a one-handed melee weapon, your magic resonates within the weapon, provided you aren’t wearing armor or using a shield. Casting a spell from the wizard spell list causes your weapon to resonate with black mana, while casting a spell from the cleric spell list causes your weapon to resonate with white mana. If you cast a spell that is on both the wizard and cleric spell lists, you can cause your weapon to resonate with either black or white mana.
If your weapon resonates with both black and white mana simultaneously, they blend together as red mana.
When you take the Attack action, you can discharge red mana from your weapon to gain the following benefits until the end of your turn:
- You add your Intelligence modifier to melee weapon attack and damage rolls (with a minimum bonus of +1).
- Your Movement does not provoke Opportunity Attacks.
- You can use your bonus action to take the Dash action.
Dual Cast
Upon reaching 6th level, when you use your action to cast a spell from the wizard spell list, you can cast a cantrip from the cleric spell list as a bonus action. Alternatively, when you use your action to cast a spell from the cleric spell list, you can cast a cantrip from the wizard spell list as a bonus action. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus in addition to your Cha Moidifier, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Redoublement
Starting at 10th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you discharge red mana while taking the Attack action on your turn.
Celestinne Red Magic Harmony
Upon reaching 14th level, whenever you use your action to cast a spell of up to 4th level and use your dualcast feature, you can cast a spell of the same level instead of a cantrip as a bonus action. The spell must have a casting time of 1 Action. Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
