Base Class: Monk
Drawing power from the earth beneath them and recognizing the molten might underneath, ancient dragonborn began to train in the heart of Kzatzul, a dormant volcano that once formed the original crust of their nation Bzolaai with a single eruption. Since then, few outlanders have managed to become disciples of this art while old yet still powerful dragonborn are keen to keep their martial and spiritual secrets within their home. With slow but sure destruction coursing through a disciple's veins, the flood will carve a way to whatever the user desires by any means necessary
Veins of the Earth
Starting at the 3rd level, you are capable of generating and exerting molten ki for your own use. After spending 1 ki point, you gain 1d4 temporary hit points and deal an additional martial die of fire damage with any unarmed strike or monk weapon. This effect ends after combat or if the user runs out of ki points.
At level 11, gain 1d8 temporary hit points instead of 1d4.
Attuned Wellspring (Optional)
Drawing even more power from the earth through still meditation and harnessing it into your body, you now have a greater source of ki than most. As a bonus action, you can concentrate on channeling power and gain 1 ki point on your next turn if successful. This ability can only be used if you have not moved during this turn.
Draconic Teachings
Because of your extensive and lengthy training with dragonborn, you have learned how to speak, read, and write Draconic.
Igneous Armor
Starting at the 6th level, you manage to produce and cool molten ki around you as if it has physical properties. After spending 2 ki points, you gain +1 AC during combat each turn (including this turn), up to the maximum value of your martial die. Any successful attack against you reduces your AC by 1, but you cannot go below your original AC. If the armor is able to increase your AC three points above its original value, receive half damage from any physical source until your AC is reduced.
Starting at the 8th level, the user also regenerates +1 missing health per turn while Igneous Armor is active.
Starting at the 11th level, the user now regenerates +2 missing health per turn while Igneous Armor is active.
AC and/or health cannot be generated if the user runs out of ki points, and the ability must be cast again for its effect.
Fiery Aura
Starting at the 11th level, your ki cannot be fully contained in your body and is emitted in a circle around you. After spending 2 ki points, the ki around your body heats up and anyone in a 5ft radius must make a Constitution saving throw. If failed, the creature takes two martial die of fire damage or half if they succeed. Then, any creature that starts their turn in the aura has their movement halved and must make another Constitution saving throw and take one martial die of fire damage if they fail, or half if they succeed. This ability ends after combat or if the user runs out of ki points.
Mastery of Core-Collapse
Starting at the 17th level, your ki condenses and implodes with overwhelming energy, turning your body into molten ki itself. Having at least 5 ki points prior to activation, you spend every remaining ki point until you have 1 left. Every spent ki point will determine the amount of turns you have this form active, and you cannot regenerate any ki points while in this form, as well as inhibiting any effect of Veins of the Earth and Igneous Armor temporarily. Your attacks have reach, and deal an additional 3 martial die of fire damage. Any non magical object that touches you instantly melts or burns away, and any creature grabs or grapples you takes 2d8 fire damage on each of its turns. If Fiery Aura is active, the radius is doubled. However, if your health or ki points are reduced to 0 while in this form, you are guaranteed a failure on your next death save and can only gain health through magic until a long rest.
