Base Class: Bard
Originating as a subsect of a druid circle, the Storm Singer tradition of bards use their music to influence the natural world- specifically, the weather. With a song, they can stir the winds and cloak their allies in wards of thunder. They travel the countryside to help along crops, guard flocks, and to lead festivals and fairs. But, while they are most known and common in rural areas, Storm Singers also reside in cities- some of the most renowned among them have used their immense might to alter the tides of war and lay siege to fortresses. Storm Singers are often thought of as flighty and changeable as the weather- not without reason. Their knowledge of the natural world and lightning-quick wit more than make up for it, letting their songs bring healing and change to the land.
Storm Caller
Your songs allow you to divine the weather, as well as bring lightning onto the weapons of you and your allies. You gain proficiency with Nature and the Druidcraft cantrip. In addition, you can touch a blade or other weapon, chanting briefly and imbuing it with the power of lightning. For one minute, when an attack with the weapon hits it deals an additional 1d4 Lightning damage.
Song of Storms
You have learned how to use your music to enchant your allies with protective peals of chiming thunder. When a creature with one of your Bardic Inspiration die uses it, for 1 minute enemies that start their turn within 10 feet must make a Wisdom saving throw: on a failure, they take Thunder damage equal to a roll of your Bardic Inspiration die.
Zephyr Song
A gentle breeze carrying soft notes of music now constantly swirls around you, and can intensify to buoy you up, or ward off projectiles. When you’re subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail. You can’t use this feature if you have the Incapacitated condition.
Tongue of Lightning
You have learned the dynamic language and magic that allows you to unleash storms that shock and buffet your foes. When you roll initiative, for one minute the area of your Zephyr Song and Song of Storms features is Lightly Obscured and Difficult Terrain for enemies, and when you cast a spell with a Verbal component, enemies inside them take Lightning damage equal to a roll of your Bardic Inspiration die.
