Bard
Base Class: Bard

Not all Bards sing their praise and venom everywhere they go. Some are quieter about their expressions, instead choosing to fill pages and canvases alike with brilliant imagery and emotion. A Bard of the College of Ink has found the methods upon which one can pull the strings of the Weave into their artwork, crafting living images that can tell the stories of what had been and what will be - directly, and with force. Trapsetters, Evokers, Songweavers - College of Ink Bards can take many diverse forms; none of which ought to be underestimated. A creative mind is a dangerous one.

Living Tapestries

At level 3, you have learned how to inscribe the magical essence of your spells - and their songs - onto yourself and your allies. You gain proficiency in Painter's Supplies, and learn the secrets to use them to inscribe magical tattoos. These tattoos are a piece of yourself - and as such, they take a part of you whenever you put them to ink. Each tattoo requires 10 minutes to inscribe, and in doing so you expend 1 Bardic Inspiration die. If the spell has a casting time of longer than 10 minutes, you must complete the full casting time in the inscription process. Once finished, the wearer can invoke the tattoo to cast the spell you inscribed within it at any time as an action or a bonus action- and the spell will reflect your spell attack and save DC. If the spell is concentration, the invoker must maintain concentration or it will end. Once the tattoo is invoked, the spell is cast, and the tattoo will fade away. Otherwise, a tattoo lasts until you die. You cannot inscribe more Living Tapestry tattoos than your Bard Level. You can choose to 'forget' a tattoo you have inscribed before, in favor of a new one. The forgotten tattoo will immediately fade away.

Spellwrought Artwork

At level 3, you have learned how to infuse your magic into each stroke of the brush. You can spend an appropriate spell slot and 10 minutes to inscribe any spell you know onto an object. If the spell has a casting time longer than 10 minutes, you must then spend that additional time inscribing the spell onto the object. Once you have inscribed a spell, you must decide the trigger to activate the spell. This can be anything from a declared 'password' to a fulfilled condition in the immediate area - or even proximity of a specific person. Once an inscribed spell is invoked the artwork is spent, it uses your spellcasting modifier and spell DC, and if that spell requires concentration, it is the invoker who maintains concentration upon it.

True Expression

At level 6, your artwork and inkings are a true expression of your inner self - from which, magic flows. You can now choose 5 spells from the Sorcerer spell list, which must be cantrips or spells for which you have spell slots. You can use these Sorcerer spells for your inscriptions and tattoos.

You always have these chosen spells prepared, and when you gain a Bard level, you can replace one of these spells with another that meets these requirements. You cannot cast these spells as you would your Bard spells; they can only be used to create Living Tapestry tattoos or Spellwrought Artworks.

A Thousand Words

At level 14, You have learned to create truly expressive works in moments; as a reaction, when an ally is performing a skill check in a skill you are proficient with, you may grant that ally your proficiency and expertise bonus in addition to theirs - so long as that ally can see you. You spend a Bardic Inspiration doing so, but not if the resulting skill check is still a failure, even with your help.
