Base Class: Fighter
The Transmutionist differs combines the martial mastery common to all fighters with the curious study of transmutation magic. Transmutionists use magical techniques similar to those practiced by artificers. They focus their study on two of the eight schools of magic: abjuration and transmutation. Abjuration spells grant a Transmutationist additional protection in battle, and transmutation spells let them manipulate the battlefield to their favor. These fighters learn a comparatively small amount of spells, committing them to memory instead of casting them from objects
Spellcasting
When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells.
Cantrips
You learn two cantrips of your choice from the artificer spell list. You learn an additional artificer cantrip of your choice at 10th level.
Spell Slots
The Transmutionist Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your artificer spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell Jump and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast Jump using either slot.
Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher
You know two 1st-level artificer spells of your choice, which you must choose from the abjuration and transmutation spells on the artificer spell list. You also know the Earth Tremor spell.
The Spells Known column of the Transmutionist Spellcasting table shows when you learn more artificer spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be an abjuration or transmutation spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic.
Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the artificer spells you know with another spell of your choice from the artificer spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an abjuration or transmutation spell, unless you're replacing the spell you gained at 8th, 14th, or 20th level from any school of magic.
Spellcasting Ability
Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your wizard spells, since you learn your spells through study and memorization. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Material Transmutation
At 3rd level, you have learnt how to mold the materials around you into formidable weapons. As a bonus action you can touch any raw materials and transmute them into any single weapon or handheld item or tool. You can't create items that ordinarily require a high degree of craftsmanship, such as jewelry, glass, or armor, unless you have proficiency with the type of artisan’s tools used to craft such objects. Creatures or magic items can't be created or transmuted by this ability. Weapons created with this ability are considered to be as strong as steel, and can withstand battle.
The maximum number of objects you can create with this feature at one time is equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of one object). If you try to exceed your maximum, the oldest objects transmute back to its materials, and then the new object is created.
Weapon Improvement
Starting at 6th level, the weapons you create with your Material Transmutation feature count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Expanded Transmutation
At 10th level, you have learnt how to transmute larger amounts of raw materials at once. As an action, you can expend a spell slot to create a large object or a number of connected 10-foot-by-10-foot wall panels. Each wall panel has 15 AC and 180 HP. Reducing a panel to 0 hit points destroys it, and may cause adjoining panels to collapse at the DM's discretion. The maximum size of the object you create and the amount of wall panels you can create is dependent on the level of the spell slot you expend, as seen on the object creation table. You can only fabricate an object out of metal, stone, or another mineral if you expend a spell slot of 4th level or higher. You also can’t to create items that ordinarily require a high degree of craftsmanship, such as jewelry, glass, or armor, unless you have proficiency with the type of artisan’s tools used to craft such objects.
