Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Metamorph wield ki to transcend the limits of flesh, reshaping their bodies into fluid instruments of adaptation. Muscles swell or shrink, skin hardens or flows, limbs elongate into claws or blades—all in an instant. They infiltrate as silent spies, strike as predatory beasts, and persuade as trusted allies, their form ever-changing to dominate any battlefield or social intrigue. To a Metamorph, perfection lies not in rigid control, but in boundless transformation.
Adept Shapechanger
3rd-level Way of the Metamorph feature
As an action or bonus action, you can change your appearance and your voice. You determine the specifics of the changes, including your coloration, hair length, scent, and sex. You can also adjust your height and weight and can change your size between your normal size and one size smaller than your normal size. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, though none of your game statistics change. You can’t duplicate the appearance of an individual you’ve never seen, and you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs that you have. Your clothing and equipment aren’t changed by this trait but you can mimic the appearance of a worn outfit, these garments are living tissue: they move like the outfit, feel like outfit, but they are part of you and cannot be removed. The mimicked outfit must plausibly fit beneath or replace whatever you currently wear if your are wearing anything. For example beneath full plate you can only imitate garments that could be hidden under armor; you cannot sprout a second suit of plate from your own flesh. Your statistics are not changed by the mimicked outfit.
Creatures with Truesight cannot see through this disguise or when you become invisible using your Empty Body feature.
You stay in the new form until you choose to revert to your true form (no action required).
Using your ability to shapechange you can manifest natural weapons such as spikes, horns, sharpened teeth, or fangs to deal piercing damage, claws, or blades that deal slashing damage, or a tail or hardened limbs that deal bludgeoning damage. When you use your unarmed strike you can change the damage type to either piercing or slashing damage and the reach of your unarmed strikes can increase to 10 feet.
Enhanced Body, Mind, and Senses
3rd-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You are half proficient with all saving throws, have expertise in Strength and Constitution ability checks, you gain half proficiency with all other ability checks, and can use your Dexterity modifier for those saving throws and ability checks.
When you make an ability check you can spend 1 ki point to gain advantage on that ability check.
You increase your hit points by 8 and you gain 4 additional hit points whenever you gain a level in the Monk class.
You gain darkvision up to 150 feet and blindsight up to 30 feet.
You also gain +2 to your unarmored armor class.
Sneak Attack
3rd-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You know how to strike subtly and exploit a foe’s distraction. Once per turn, you can deal an extra twice the amount of damage to one creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll. The attack must use a finesse, ranged weapon, or unarmed strike.
You don’t need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn’t incapacitated, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.
You also have advantage on attack rolls against creatures that believe you are their ally.
Glib Deceiver
3rd-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You gain expertise with Charisma ability checks and can use your Wisdom modifier for those ability checks. Creatures have disadvantage on Insight skill checks against you and have -5 modifier to those checks and -10 modifier to their passive insight against you. Additionally, no matter what you say, magic that would determine if you are telling the truth indicates that you are being truthful and any effect cannot force you to tell the truth.
You also learn to speak, read, and write two languages of your choice.
Guarded Psyche
3rd-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You are immune to any effect that would detect your thoughts, emotions, alignment, creature type, or any personal information about you unless you allow yourself to be effected. If you allow yourself to be effected you can choose what the effect detects. You are also immune to any attempts at telepathy towards you unless you allow it.
Enhanced Shapechanger
6th-level Way of the Metamorph feature
When using your Adept Shapechanger ability you are able to grow wings on your back, gills, webbed digits, fins, or a sticky hands and feet to gain a fly speed, swim speed, and climb speed equal to your walking speed. You also can breath underwater as well as out of water.
You can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide, provided you are wearing and carrying nothing. You have advantage on ability checks you make to initiate or escape a grapple.
You also become immune to any effect that would change your form or cause you to be petrified against your will.
Expertise
6th-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You have expertise in two skills on your choice that you are proficient with.
Impervious Mind
11th-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You are immune to psychic damage, being charmed, or being frightened, and any effect that would effect your mind unless you allow yourself to be effected. You also gain a bonus to your Charisma, Intelligence, and Wisdom saving throws equal to your Wisdom modifier.
Invigorating Body
11th-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You are resistant to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage, and immune to being stunned or paralyzed.
Your hit point maximum can’t be reduced.
You are immune to having vulnerability to damage imposed on you or any effect that would bypass any resistances or immunities you have.
You regain 1 hit point at the start of each of you turns (10 hit points each minute).
Your severed body members (fingers, legs, tails, and so on), if any, are restored after 2 minutes. If you have the severed part and hold it to the stump, this effect instantaneously causes the limb to knit to the stump.
Immortal Body
17th-level Way of the Metamorph feature
You cannot die from old age and are immune to exhaustion.
