Monk
Base Class: Monk

Most monks use their ki to manipulate their bodies and their minds. Through your long training and natural talent, you have used yours to tap into the primal energy of the universe - the Force. The force connects all living things, and through the force, you may use your power to manipulate other creatures and the world around you.

Grasp of the Force

You gain the ability to use the power of the Force to manipulate your environment.

Using an action, you may move any object or creature within sight, including yourself,  2*your monk level feet horizontally, or ½*your monk level feet vertically, rounded down.

You may spend a ki point to hold the object or creature in place until your next turn, using concentration. A creature is considered restrained, and can make a Dexterity save at the start of their turn to ignore this effect. If they fail, they may also make the save using their action. If concentration is lost, creatures are no longer considered restrained, and creatures or objects hovering will start to fall.

You can use a bonus action to summon a Small or smaller object within your range into your hand, such as your weapon.

Force Sense

You open your mind to the force, allowing you to sense creatures nearby.

Spend one minute concentrating in deep meditation. You learn the number of creatures of each type within a half-mile radius, as well as their direction from you. You can not sense constructs or undead using this sense.

If you spend ten minutes concentrating, this range increases to a mile.

Mind of the Force

You learn how to alter minds with the Force. You can cast the friends cantrip at will, spend 1 ki point to cast charm person, and 5 ki points to cast modify memory. Wisdom is your ability for these spells.

You can cast charm person at higher levels, with 1 point per spell level.

Force Lightning

You can control the core nature of the force itself.

One per long rest, you summon lightning from your fingertips. Your next unarmed strike gains 10 ft reach, and the damage it deals is lightning. The target must make a constitution save. If it succeeds, you regain hit points equal to half the damage the target took, and the effect ends.

If the target fails its save, you regain hit points equal to the total damage the target took, and this effect continues. Your next unarmed strike also has 10 ft reach, lightning damage, and requires a constitution save.

The effect ends when the target succeeds in its constitution save, dies, or a minute passes.
