Monk
Base Class: Monk

Using your extensive knowledge on martial takedowns and your natural wrestling talent, you train yourself to make your grapples and unarmed striking do much more damage at the cost of range.

Grapple Reversal

Starting at 3rd level, when you perform a grapple escape, you can use 1 Ki point to knock your opponent prone, succeed on the save and gain opportunity attack. During this opportunity attack, you gain advantage on performing a grapple of your own, unarmed melee attacks or dashing away from the target.

Suplex, Chain Wrestling, Ability Score Increase, Defensive Stance, Grapple Takedown and Pinning Combination

Starting at 6th level, while grappling or being grappled, you may use 3 Ki points to perform a suplex attack from your current position. Your opponent must make a STR saving throw equal to or higher than your strength ability score. They may also make a DEX saving throw instead to perform against your dexterity ability score as an alternative. This maneuver requires 1 action if performed on your turn, or your attack of opportunity if the move is performed on the opponent's turn. Your strength and dexterity scores increase by 2.

Also at 6th level, you can also grapple someone out of their grapple, allowing you to not be restrained by someone else's grapple. You can do this once per long rest at any time while grappled.

At 7th level, you may use 1 Ki point to enter a defensive stance before the end of your turn, but only on your turn and during combat. The next melee attack against you will be auto-countered and you gain opportunity attack against the opponent. While in the opportunity attack, you get at an advantage when trying to grapple the target. If you fail to grapple the target, should you choose to do so, you become prone until you take damage or you stand up, which takes 1 action.

At 8th level, you may use 3 Ki points during a grapple to make your opponent prone for 1d4 turns or until they take 1 action to stand up. Should you fail a dexterity check of 15 or higher, you will become prone instead for 1d4-1 turns, you take 1 action to stand up, or get damaged during these turns.

At 9th level, you may use 6 Ki points during a grapple to deal 1/2 of your opponent's current hit points in damage back to them and immobilize them for 1d4-1 turns. The target must make a constitution saving throw of your strength score or higher to resist this attack. If they succeed, you become stunned for 1d12 turns.

Bonus Attacks

At 11th level, you gain 2 extra actions per turn.

Ultimate Grappler

Starting at 17th level, you can completely negate a grapple made against you at the cost of 1/2 of your current Ki points.
