Base Class: Monk
They do not fear pain nor death, these are only ways to surpass the physical limits of the body. For these monks the pain is of great value, it means strengthening and enlightenment. To achieve real mastery, they sacrifice their vital energy to reach incredible levels of dexterity, precision, and endurance.
Iron Body
At 3rd level, you gain +2 hit points per monk level (maximum of +40 at monk level 20).
Limit Break
At 3rd level, at the beginning of your turn (no action required), you can use Limit Break, which lasts until the beginning of your next turn.
By doing so, you roll a d4, the result becomes damage to your Hit Points and a bonus in this set of actions:
• Bonus to Dexterity checks and Dexterity saving throws.
• Bonus to unarmed Improved Critical (reducing the difficulty for a Critical Hit by the bonus amount).
- At 6th level, if you roll a 4 you can spend one Hit Die to improve your Limit Break to Absolute Control.
Absolute Control: The Limit Break bonus goes to 5, you take 0 damage to your own Hit Points and you roll one Hit Die to heal yourself. Roll the die, add your Constitution modifier, and regain a number of hit points equal to the total (minimum of 1). - At 11th level, roll an extra d4 when using Limit Break and choose one of the results.
- At 17th level, when using Absolute Control you are able to increase its power using Power Overwhelming.
Power Overwhelming: When using Absolute Control, you can open up to eight inner gates of ki. The Absolute Control Hit Die limits how many ki gates you are able to open at that moment. Each ki gate costs 1 ki point to open, grants an extra d4 of damage to your unarmed strike, a +1 bonus to Limit Break, and a third of the Limit Break as a bonus to AC.
Tearing Blast
At 6th level, by spending 1 ki point you can use your action to release a powerful ki blast from your body.
Each creature in a 15-foot-radius sphere (you in the center) must make a Dexterity saving throw (excluding you). On a failed save, each creature takes 1d4 of force damage for each monk level and be knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't prone (ki save DC).
- For each d4 that rolls 4, the damage is increased by +2.
- For each d4 that rolls 4, you take 1 damage to your Hit Points, this number is multiplied by the number of times Tearing Blast is used before finishing a long rest.
- Limit Break: Adds an extra d4 for every +1 bonus of Limit Break.
Iron Palm
At 11th level, you transcend the limits of your unarmed combat.
Unarmed Martial Arts improved to 3d4 and for each d4 that rolls 4 you can choose to increase the damage by +2 by the cost of 1 Hit Point.
Iron Soul
Starting at 17th level, your connection to ki and body becomes one.
Your Constitution score increases by 2 to a maximum of 22 and you add your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1) to your maximum ki points.
