Monk
Base Class: Monk

You learn various techniques to push, trip, and disarm opponents. As a master of combat, you sweep through the battlefield, subduing anyone you dares cross paths with you.

Combat Techniques

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you’ve honed your body and mind to the point that your skill on the battlefield is unparalleled. You learn the following techniques. Whenever you hit a creature that is large or smaller with an unarmed strike, you can forgo dealing damage on that attack, or spend a Ki point, and the target makes a saving throw. On a failed save, the target suffers one of the effects listed below. You can only apply one effect to any one attack.

Disarming Attack The target makes a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target drops one object it is holding. The object falls within 5 feet of the target or you can use your reaction to catch the object. If the target succeeds the saving throw, it doesn’t drop the object. If the object is a weapon, the target has disadvantage on its next weapon attack before the start of your next turn.

Pushing Attack The target makes a Strength saving throw. On a failed save the target is pushed up to 15 feet away from you. On a success, you have advantage on your next attack against that same creature before the end of that same turn.

Restraining Attack This attack doesn’t require a saving throw, instead you make a contested Athletics check against a targets Athletics or Acrobatics check. However, if your check is lower than your Ki save DC, you may spend 1 additional Ki point and use your DC instead of your check. You must decide to do this before the results of the grapple are determined. If the target fails its check, you Grapple the target. Otherwise, the normal rules of grappling apply.

Trip Attack The target makes a Strength saving throw or is knocked Prone.

Agile Fighter

Starting at 6th level, when you use your Patient Defense feature, you don’t spend the Ki cost. In addition, when you use Deflect missiles and reduce the damage to 0, you can make a melee attack against a creature within 5 feet of you as part of that same reaction using the weapon you caught. You use your marital arts die for the damage of this attack, but don’t add your ability modifier to the damage.

Restore Energy

Starting at 11th level, you can spend 10 minutes meditating and restore a number of Ki points equal to your Wisdom Modifier, or regain hit points equal to 3 times that number. Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.

Improved Combat Techniques

Starting at 17th level, you no longer spend Ki points for your Combat Techniques (With the exception of changing your check with your Ki save for Restraining Attack). In addition, the target has disadvantage on its saving throw if you hit a creature with a critical hit. (while still not dealing the damage)
