Monk
Base Class: Monk

Have you ever wanted to play a Monk with the power to fell the mightiest of enemies with a single punch, but Way of the Open Hand isn't cutting it for ya? Well, this is the homebrew for you.

Training for the Way of the Single Strike is as rigorous as it is effective. Monks that practice the Way of the Single Strike monastic tradition train to the ideology that ending combat as swiftly as possible is the most merciful, and the quickest way to end a fight is by only making a single punch. Monks that commit to this lifestyle attempt to hone their strength to insane levels. Incredible levels. Over nine thousand, some would say.

Single Strike

Starting at 3rd level, you can use an action to make a special unarmed strike called a Focused Punch. A Focused Punch deals damage equal to three martial arts dice plus your ability modifier.

The damage of the Focused Punch increases to six martial arts dice plus your ability modifier when you gain the Monk's Extra Attack feature.

Improved Critical

Your sheer power allows you to strike your enemies where it hurts most. Starting at 3rd level, you score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20 instead of on a 20.
Starting at 11th level, you score a critical hit on a roll of 18-20.
Starting at 17th level, you score a critical hit on a roll of 17-20.

Powerful Build

Starting at 6th level, your increased muscular ability allows you to jump a distance equal to four times your Strength or Dexterity ability score, whichever is higher.
Additionally, your movement speed increases by 10 feet and you can take the Dash action as a bonus action.
Lastly, you may expend a number of Ki points up to your Monk level to deal an additional amount of damage with an attack equal to two times the number of Ki points you spent.

Fist of Felling

Starting at 11th level, your Focused Punch attack deals extra damage equal to your Monk level.
If the attack hits, the target must make a Strength saving throw or fall prone. If the attack is a critical hit, the target automatically fails the saving throw. If the attack makes the target drop below half their maximum hit points, the target is also stunned until the end of their next turn on a failed save.

Deadly Fists

Starting at 17th level, when you attack with your Focused Punch and score a critical hit against a target, the target must make a Constitution saving throw, taking an additional amount of damage equal to six times your Monk level on a failed save, and half that on a success.
