Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of the Shapeshifter is a monastic tradition taught only to the soldiers of the druidic cult Circle of the Moon. Children, sold or kidnapped are given a blood curse and trained in hand to hand combat, they are also trained in the ways of their curse depending on the animal shape given to them.

Druidic Blood Curse

  • You have Heightened Senses, gaining proficiency on perception checks involving hearing and smell.
  • You are vulnerable to silvered weapons. If you are damaged by silvered weapons you must succeed a DC 12 CON saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute Purity of Body  at 10th level does not stop this.
  • You are always aware of where you are in the lunar cycle regardless of the time of day or ability to see the moon (only on the material plane)You are subjected to a violent, uncontrollable, and forced transformation of your lycanthropic beast (werewolf) when the moon is at its fullest on the 30th day of each month. Starting at 3rd level you can use your Monk training on Moonbeam Island to use Ki points and transform at will.
  • As a bonus action you can spend 1 Ki point and choose to assume a hybrid state. In the final week of the lunar cycle you must succeed in a DC 10 WIS saving throw to turn back into your humanoid form. If the saving throw is failed you remain in your bestial form for 1 hour.
  • Reverting back to your humanoid form takes 5 minutes.
  •  You are resistant to piercing, slashing and bludgeoning damage from non magical and non silvered weapons and add +1 to AC in your Hybrid Form.
  • You may not use weapons, and armor while in this state. While in this state your unarmed strikes deal slashing damage and, gain all of the effects from the monk martial arts.
  • A non-lycanthrope humanoid hit by a bite attack must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be cursed.

Mastery of Fist and Claw

  • When you use Flurry of Blows  in your Hybrid Form, After making the attack roll you may move up to 5 feet, without provoking opportunity attacks. This additional movement doesn't count against your speed.
  • If an attack misses you as a result of using Patient Defense in your Hybrid Form, you may take a free Cursed Bite attack at the attacker if they are within range.
  • while in your Hybrid Form, when you use Step of the Wind  you can choose a target within your movement and at least 10 feet away to leap to pounce on them as an action. The target must make a Strength saving throw (8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or be knocked prone on a failure. If they are knocked prone by this feature you may then make one Claws of the Wolf attack against the target.
  • If you successfully stun a creature while in your Hybrid Form with your Stunning Strike that creature is also bleeding, taking 1d4 damage every turn for 1 minute. The bleeding creature can use their action to stop the bleeding.

The Circle of Life

  • You gain regeneration. At the beginning of each of your turns you regain hit points equal to 1+ your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1).
  • You may also feast on a corpse that is at most 5 minutes old as a bonus action. A tiny creature allows you to regain 2 hit points. The amount of hit points healed is increased by 4 points for each size category greater than tiny.
  • When you feed on a creature using this ability, you may expend a Ki point to summon their spirit that only you can see and speak to for 1 minute, the spirit can understand you regardless of any language barrier, when a spirit is summoned using this ability it cannot be summoned again.
