General Feat (Prerequisite: Monk or Barbarian class; not wearing armor or using a shield)

You embody the essence of a relentless warrior, growing stronger each time you face the brink of defeat. Through sheer will and resilience, you transcend your previous limits after surviving near-fatal encounters. This phenomenon, known as "Zenkai," reflects your ability to recover from critical injuries and emerge more powerful, with the magnitude of your strength increase directly proportional to the severity of your ordeal. This relentless cycle of combat, recovery, and growth forges an unbreakable spirit and an ever-improving combat performance.

You gain the following benefits:

  • Return to Battle. When you are reduced to 0 Hit Points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 Hit Point instead. Once you use this benefit, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest.

  • Zenkai Markers. After using "Return to Battle," if you make an attack against an opponent before the end of your next turn, you gain a Zenkai Marker. When you accumulate 3 Zenkai Markers, or a number determined by the DM, you can increase your Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20. After increasing an ability score, your Zenkai Markers reset to zero.

This feat reflects your relentless spirit, allowing you to withstand fatal blows and grow stronger through the trials of combat.
