Whistle Guidance
You can telekinetically command a single bonded arrow using sound.
When you whistle, hum, or create a tone with your mouth (no instrument), the arrow obeys your mental direction with magical precision.
- As a bonus action, you command the arrow to hover at any point within 60 feet of you.
- The arrow remains suspended until you give it an attack command.
Whistling Arrow
As a attack action, when you whistle sharply, the arrow streaks through the air and makes an attack.
Make a ranged attack roll using your Dexterity and proficiency.
On a hit, the arrow deals:
12d4+18 piercing damage
The arrow ignores:
- Cover of any kind
- Armor made of metal
- Immunity to piercing damage
Unstoppable Flight
When the arrow attacks this way, it moves up to 2,000 feet during the attack, weaving around allies and obstacles along whatever path you choose.
- It can curve, loop, or turn 360º instantly with ease.
- It can attack through extremely tight spaces (as small as 2 centimeters).
- You always know its location.
Multi-Pass Execution
When you hit a creature with a Whistling Arrow attack, you may choose to make the arrow pass through and immediately attack another creature within 30 feet of the first.
You can do this a number of extra times equal to your proficiency bonus per attack made with the arrow.
Each attack roll is made normally.
Damage applies separately each time.
Return on Command
As part of the same free action used to attack, the arrow can instantly return to hover near you, or continue to hang in the air within 60 feet.
You never need to retrieve it manually unless nullified by antimagic.
Impossible Reflexes
While your arrow is hovering, you gain:
- +2 to AC
- Advantage on Dexterity saving throws
- Immune to Surprise while alive
This is because the arrow “warns” you with faint vibrations in the air.
Whistled Fury
Once per long rest, you can unleash a continuous whistled command for one full round (no action required), sending the arrow into a frenzy.
During that round:
- The arrow makes twelve Whistling Arrow attacks, each hitting a creature or object of your choice.
- Each attack deals 20d6+25 piercing damage.
- The arrow moves up to 6,000 feet during this round of carnage.
- It can target the same creature more than once.
Limitations
- If you are silenced, gagged, underwater, or unable to control your breath, you cannot command the arrow.
- If you are unconscious, the arrow falls inert.
- A silence spell or antimagic field disables all features of the arrow.
