Hi all. I run an in-person game for a few people I know (most are friends, some are friends-of-friends) and I want them to get a little more into the game. I've done my best to make the game as accessible as I can since most of us are new to D&D and TTRPGs in general. I was hoping to keep going in the accessibility direction. I have been drawing out my battlemaps on 1 in. grid gaming paper but they aren't great (I got into D&D for the numbers, not for making art), so I was wondering if anyone has any tips for getting full-size gaming maps that look good.
TL;DR I want good-looking full-size maps for my battles to keep my players more engaged. Tips?
Sorry, forgot to be specific, my bad. Some of my players have minis so I like to have 1 sq. in. grid so that I know all my minis will fit to the standard.
For a specific example, my players just finished the Tresendar Manor dungeon in Lost Mine of Phandelver and for a battlemap I used gaming paper (which has 1 in squares) and drew out all the rooms as they showed up in the book but it doesn't look great. I'm hoping for a way to get the maps that appear in the books to a size that fits a 1 in grid without needing to make a gaming table with a TV or monitor inside.
You can buy some poster-size map packs at your Friendly Local Game Store.
Alternatively, if you have image files of poster maps of sufficient quality, you can print them over many sheets, cut the edges and tape them together. There are many pages online explaining how to set up to print at large scales.

What do you consider full size? Quarter inch grid = 5ft?
