My in game character used find greater steed to summon a peryton. I had been using the monsters page of dndbeyond (https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters) to see and use its stats. The stats on the side says perception is +5, until today my campaign mate said i can add it as an extra on my character sheet and so i did. But on the character sheet when added as an extra you would select a creature's category. A few categories align with find greater steed. My greatest assumption was that i would use the mount category since its a steed and it says its a majestic mount, but it is also summoned or an infusion? but none of the stat blocks are the same as the one on the monsters lookup page. For the peryton's Perception they all say +3 or one even says +9 but i am just confused because the monsters Is this a typo? I saw on another website that a peryton even has a passive perception of 20 instead of 15, but im not sure. im just looking for support here. What is my correct stat block for find greater steed?

Axes to ashes, shovels to dust. Your houses will burn, your weapons will rust.
First off, for Peryton under Extras, I think the Perception +3 is a bug, given that Passive Perception in still 15. DDB is undergoing some changes to the character sheet code, so that's probably the cause. Let's hope you posting about it helps them with finding the problem! (It effectively has double-proficiency in Perception, so that's probably where the new system is confused.)
In any case, don't use Infusion, that's for Artificers to use. Summon could almost work, but that's more for when a spellcaster brings in a set of creatures. Just use Mount for your Steed.
The one thing I'd be concerned about is that the Peryton is Medium sized. Is your character Small? Otherwise you wouldn't be able to ride it.

Thank you for your insight. Maybe they will be able to take a look at it some time because it was pretty confusing when i first saw the change in numbers.

I looked into the Peryton more by making a homebrew copy - under Skills, it adds Perception with a Base Value of 5. However, the way DDB works currently(?), that should only contain the WIS modifier + proficiency, or 3, while the Additional Bonus should be 2 for the bonus from twice-proficiency.
I hope this info helps the DDB content managers with fixing the issue.
