I think I figured it out. I thought the "Spell slots per spell level" was the number of spells I could have and cast. That's how Roll20 appears to be set up. But that number is different than "known spells". So each level I was maxing out the number I could do and when I hit level 3 Sorcerer the number of slots and the number of known was different and that's when I started having problems.
I did a multiclass Monk and Sorcerer and it won't let me add level 2 spells. Is anyone else having the issue?
Here's my leveling.
Level 1: Monk
Level 2: Sorcerer
Level 3: Sorcerer
Level 4: Monk
Level 5: Sorcerer
When I try and update my spells on Level 5 (Level 3 Sorcerer) I only get 4 Cantrips and 4 Level 1s. I'm not getting to choose my 2 x Level 2 spells.
Could you provide a link to your character sheet please?

Ah, yes. Different spellcasting classes have different mechanics for how spells available/known and spell slots works.
