I was wondering if there was a guide, or if someone could help me in changing the damage done by a homebrew weapon I created. For example, a normal pistol does 1d10 of damage, but the pistol I would like to make has 1d12. Any ideas?
It's very frustrating that we can't as of yet do this to be honest... Most players forget to look into the details and modifiers half the time and they just look at what the numbers are next to the time. I wish there was a way to ignore set values for all categories or "mute" them or something.
I thought creating something like a shortsword with 1d8 + STR for the modifier would easy, but it's turning out to be difficult, difficult, lemon difficult.

Hello All!
I was wondering if there was a guide, or if someone could help me in changing the damage done by a homebrew weapon I created. For example, a normal pistol does 1d10 of damage, but the pistol I would like to make has 1d12. Any ideas?
Thanks!
The homebrew magical item feature doesn't (currently) provide the ability to change the base damage of a selected weapon.

Thank you for your answer! :)
Has this been added yet? Or at least the ability to create a brand new one from scratch to replicate it?
Thank You
