Is there any reason for an Armorer Artificer to not dump Str? Power/Arcane Armor removes the strength requirement, even for full plate, and you get the Thunder Gauntlets/Lightning Launcher which uses Int in place of Str/Dex.
Add on the Armor of Magic Strength infusion, and you don't have to worry about Str checks/saving throws up to 6 times/long rest. I just cannot see any use for Str on an Armorer Artificer. Am I wrong?

You're not. You still need Strength for carrying capacity, but that's a trivial concern. I would expect virtually all Armorers to be S8.
On a side note this has made me realize you could reflavor the Armorer switching armor models as a sort of Bruce Banner <-> Hulk or Dr Jekyl <-> Mr Hyde situation.
I would say you'd only other need for strength is saving throws which if you get a high enough level you can use infusions to bypass this (like getting Armor of Magical Strength or Belt of Hill Giant Strength)
The question isn't whether or not an Armorer needs Strength, but whether you want to be good at the things Strength makes you good at. An Armorer with natively decent (16+) Strength can do very well with Athletics, they can make use of weapons other than their armor's integrated tools, they can more easily grapple and maneuver enemies, and are able to do all the things high-Strength characters are good at. if it fits the armorer's characterization to do so, possibly because they were a soldier or a smith prior to being Magic Iron Man, then boost Strength. I can say from experience - Strength is a stat everybody thinks is a dump stat until you have a meaty, girthy Strength score and start discovering all the ways you can substitute muscles for other things in D&D.
Strength is, however, also the number easiest for an artificer to artificially patch up. The Belt of Hill Giant Strength infusion comes online quite late, but it automatically maxes your Strength. Gauntlets of Ogre Power come online sooner and do the next best thing. Potions increasing Strength are more available than any other type. Given that the Armorer can be made functional without a high Strength score, it could make sense to drop Strength and enhance other facets of the character. But honestly? I'd argue that so long as your Intelligence is on curve, you're good whichever way you go. Artificers are cool like that.
