Alright, here's the quick context: We're playing high level Eve of Ruin and my Artificer is being allowed by the GM to switch to the UA build. I'm an Armorer at 15th lvl and I overthink things, so the artificer is my perfect class lol. As a 15th lvl character there have been many "opportunities" to change and retrain different RMI plans and I am doing a little theater of the mind leveling up to decide what actual plans my guy has at the moment and theoretically how he got here.
Here's my 2 big QUESTIONS (and people in youtube seem totally all over the place on this so I can't be the only one)
1) When I take a long rest and then make a couple magic items, do the ones I made yesterday go away? Like... ex. I wake up and make a second pair of "goggles of night". Do the ones I made yesterday go away? If I always know that RMI plan could I make however many goggles for that last however many long rests I was at that level? OR is it strictly "you can only make __ magic items per day and they all need to be different so you can only have one of each of your plans" (this second reading seems under powered, the first seems overpowered... but If i was a "master crafter" why on earth would I only make like 5 devices and brush my hands and say "all done! Nalied it!"
2) When I take a new plan known does the old plan item(s) go away? If i made boots of whatever but then swapped that out at a level up do those boots go poof? why on earth would I as a master crafter make one pair of temporary boots and then be like "well the plans are gone so I'm just gonna toss these in the garbage"
extra credit: 3) what if my guy just uses the regular crafting rules to make like 20 wands and doesn't rely on the RMI feature of the class??? huh? what THEN!?

You can only replicate one of any plan you know (and can only replicate a certain number of them) --- at level 15 you can know 7 plans and replicate 5 at a time. You can swap them around each long rest, if you'd like, essentially. So only one "googles of night" at a time.

You have to know the plan to keep the item. They go poof when you un-learn the plan. You don't "toss them in the garbage"; they expire. Kinda like losing concentration on a spell, but less intense.

It'll be costly and take lots of time, but you'll have 20 wands. The advantage of replication is that you just get magic items of choice, for free, at the end of a long rest.

I'm losing it.... give me your answers.
