So unless i'm remembering wrong. I don't think there is any infusion that you can not give to an ally--except Humculus. Do ya'll think thats intentional? Or do you think it was an oversight when transfering from class ability to infusion?
"" You learn intricate methods for magically creating a special homunculus that serves you. The item you infuse serves as the creature’s heart, around which the creature’s body instantly forms. ""
If it wasn't for this line in the humculus entry, it would fall under normal infusion rules, which means you could give it away. Which I think would really append good value to it. Lending it to the healer or buffer of the group to cast through. or lending it to someone whose going to be crafting for days. and so on. Its weird that it takes up an infusion slot--but can not act like a normal infusion. It also can not be stolen like any other infusion. it seemingly breaks most infusion norms.
So, Folks opinions, think it was originally meant to be sharable, but the wording stuck from when it was a class feature?
(as a sidenote: It would be cooler if you Infused the gem (the heart) but instead of it forming around it, it dropps off the gem and whoever possess the gem controls it).
I think it was a leftover bit from when it was a class feature especially considering both other sub-classes have pets that are integral to the way they function and the homunculus cost an infusion for any of the three sub-classes and is useful to all of them.
