I am very excited for armorer, mainly because its something new. Armorer does things no other subclass can do such as weightless heavy armor or Temp Hp each turn. This is cool to me since its not just basic stat increases. I also like lightning bolt on the spell list, so I can say "THATS 1.21 GIGAWATTS!" like back to the future.
Won't get the chance to play one for quite some time, if ever. But I'll admit. If whatever tweaks happen in Tasha's Allspice Soup Pot make it just a little bit less "Totally-not-Iron-Man-wink-wink-nudge-buyme(C)", I'll be keen to see how it shakes down.
I'm certainly excited for the official publication of the Armorer myself. Artificer is slowly becoming one of my favorite classes so the more subclasses the better!

Artificer is the class that got me into the idea of playing D&D (imagine my distress when I started with 5e, and it didn't exist yet) so I am all manner of excited for anything new being added to it. I hope they don't change the subclass too much for publication especially since I am currently playing one, but I expect there is going to be some balancing revisions at 3rd level. However, as long as they don't go full Thanos on it and delete all the new and exciting stuff, everything should be good.

Bark side up, bark side down, it really, truly does not matter.

I really like the look of the armourer class. However, after what happened to most of the eberron races I'm pretty worried about using UA content.
I had to agree to update the character according to the most recent rules in order for my DM to let me play as an armorer so I have already accepted that my character will change to one degree or another.
There are other ways to gain temp HP each turn. It's just that most of them don't provide as much (but either stack with another effect or provide it to multiple targets). The Heroism spell, the Path of the Storm Herald's Tundra Storm Aura, and the Path of the Battlerager's Reckless Abandon are three. Technically, Fiendlocks also can get temporary HP every round as long as they're able to kill something. Still, the Armorer gets a decidedly better boost, especially at higher levels.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
When it comes to the temporary hit points, my dearest wish is that they change them from temporary hit points into a totally different pool of hit points similar (if not exactly like) the arcane ward of an abjuration wizard. This will probably never happen, but I can hope.

True, but the arcane ward can stack with temporary hit points and actually reduces the amount of damage you take which apparently temporary hit points do not.

Anyone else excited for this cool class?

I meant a feature you can always use, and I think it works well since Armorer does not have any resistances

Thats pretty much how temphp functions right now, its like an absorb shield
you can have 0 hp and 1 temphp and still be uncoincious
