so, im in a campaign we have had our first session at level one, and our party is made of a fairy barbarian Pow (played by my best friends little sister) a harengon life cleric Clover (who is basically the rabbit from Alice in wonderland played by my best friend) and a human archfey warlock. so our barbarian doesn't have a subclass so I am thinking, (because I have decided that somehow our campaign isn't crazy enough) what if we took the wild magic barbarian subclass and made it crazier (like, whenever our barbarian rages they roll on the sorcerer wild magic table) I think my table would be down with that (we are chaotic aligned irl) and I think I should at least bring a suggestion (i by no means intend on forcing this subclass on that character) thoughts? also sorry if this doesn't belong here but it does have to do with barbarrians
The Sorcerer table doesn't make sense on a Barbarian for a few reasons. Some of the results make you cast spells, which you can't do while raging. Some of them affect the spells you cast with your normal spellcasting feature, which Barbarians don't have. One of them replenishes your sorcery points.
The Barbarian's table has taken most of the good ones that aren't spells, and cut out everything else. There's nothing on there that doesn't have an impact in combat ("Your skin turns a vibrant shade of blue."), because Rage is a combat feature while spellcasting is also an out-of-combat feature.
Sounds like a great wacky group though. I'm about to start my Wild Magic Barbarian tonight, so I can't give much advice but it seems fun. I'm not sure there's much to be gained from adding more stuff to the random table of Rage effects. I've been playing the Spirits Bard, which also has a random table, and I think it's very useful that there's only so many results. It speeds up play, for one thing.

My wife plays a Wild Magic Barbarian in a game I run. To add even more chaos we've agreed that she gets to roll on the Sorcerer Wild Magic table when she rolls a crit during combat. Good crazy fun. There are some outcomes on that table that need to be adapted for a barbarian, but if you're good at thinking on your feet it's all good
Having tried to add the wild magic table to non-sorcerer builds in the past, I can tell you that it doesn't translate well, especially for a class like Barbarian. Triggering a Sorcerer Surge instead of a Barbarian Surge is by and large a worse option.
That said, the Barbarian Surge table is disappointingly short, especially compared to the wild and wacky Sorcerer Surge table. Even just adding 4 more possibilities and bumping it to a d12 to roll would do a lot to make it even more exciting. I'm sure there must be some homebrew Barbarian Surge tables somewhere online that might make it even more chaotic and exciting.

I like character creation!
