New to playing a barbarian here and wasn’t sure how, if at all, the damage resistance when raging vs. bludgeon, slashing, piercing is applied if you’re hit by a magic weapon (+1 sword for instance). I see in some of the monster stat blocks it’s called out as wholly separate and this type of resistance not being applied to magic weapons. Any help is appreciated.
I'm pretty sure it's still slashing/piercing/blugeoning damage. For monsters, they usually have resistance against being hit by mundane weapons, not the actual damage type.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

The Barbarian's resistance doesn't depend on the attack being magical or not, only the damage type. If the resistance is meant to have restrictions beyond the damage type, it will say so. For example:
Banshee - "Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks"
Bone Devil - "Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks that aren't Silvered"
Barbarian in Rage - "You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage"
Since there is no general rule that says "damage resistance does not apply to magical attacks unless specified", the only condition that has to be met for the Barbarian's resistance is the damage type.

Magic weapons don't counter a barbarians resistance. I've seen a few argue this fact.
There are 3 main ways to tank in this game:
So yes, their DR works against magic weapons.
