Just picked up the latest UA, and was floored by the Undead Patron - it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun to play. And the Path of the Beast has been on the must do list for a few weeks as well. Sooo... a Dracolitch it is.
I'm planning on a Lizardfolk Barbarian - Path of the Beast / Warlock - Undead Patron (dracolitch) - pact of the blade.
While it's a bit MAD, I think it has tons of potential synergies, not to mention RP for days.
Any thoughts? I know it's not necessarily 'optimum' to go Lizardfolk, but who cares... sometimes RP takes the front. This way I get to play a pissed off mini dracolitch, and who doesn't love that?
Id say it largely depends on how you plan on leveling them up, and how you plan on them fighting. Without that info its just like, yeah it could work, solid idea.
To give what I would do for this idea id start with 3 levels of Barbarian and then take the rest in Warlock, I would chose however, Beserker because of the undead's ability to add an extra dice damage to attacks, having MORE attacks while in rage seems even to compliment that more then transforming, you also dont get to cast spells while in rage so your going by just passives and one concentration spell at most while in it.
Starting Barbarian also allows you to not have to hit the prereq for the class so you can focus on charisma your main stat as a warlock and since you would be doing most of your damage through your hex weapon thats a plus
Spells like Armor of Agathys synergize well with barbarian too. It doesn't require conc, so you cast it, then rage as a bonus action and get resistance on the damage that would be eating away from the temp hps.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

Can't concentrate with rage and you'd still need the 13 strength to multiclass out of barbarian. Also, hexblades are the only warlock subclass that can use charisma for weapon attacks, which wouldn't benefit from the rage damage bonus since that keys off of strength attacks.
As for the OP, it had merit as long as your spells are either buff spells that don't require concentration or utilized outside of combat or at least outside of rage.
Lizardfolk isn't a bad barbarian race, it's just not an offensive minded one. The +2 constitution is sweet for barbarians. The natural armor is redundant after 16 con, but some of the other abilities will be stronger than I normally build for with barbs.
You could go 15 str, 14 dex (max AC bonus for medium armor, 12+2 con (or 11+2 if you wanted your cha higher), 8 int, 10 wis (9 if you were trying for the higher cha), and 13 cha (14 if you stole a point from con and wis). You could also leave wis at 9 and get your con at 15. Your first ASI would be a split, probably between strength and either charisma or con, which would be dependent on how many of your spells would increase in effectiveness with higher charisma. If it's built like an EK, that 13 is only required to get the class and can be ignored otherwise outside of skills. Which brings up the question of which warlock spells do you want and how do you want to attack?
Devil's Sight would be a great invocation to take to make up for your lack of darkvision. Assuming that you do decide not to make your charisma just 13, something like Grasp of Hadar could give your Eldritch Blast some Utility. Otherwise, there will likely be only a few invocations that you'll want to take including the one that gives you Detect Magic at will. Once your prerequisite options come online, then you can branch out a little more.
Depending on the level cap your dm set, you probably want a 14,14,14, 10,10,10 or the standard arrays str, cha, con or wis, dex, and finally int. What kinda back stories you as a servant of a dragolich, maybe pick acolyte, sage, or gladiator.
For acolyte you worship the evil dragon for it might and the cult leader send you in a mission that's your campaign, he might give you a magical item that when you reach the level for mc warlock give you a piece of the dragolich power that grows if you keep leveling warlock.
For sage you wish to require the magic from the dragon, but you didn't have the teaching for studying magic so you ask for it power in exchange of your service, he give you a item that unlocked once you decide to step into warlock or be a mark that says you belong to a dragolich.
Now Gladiator, you fight in a arena for the amusement of the dragolich once you got your freedom the evil dragon curse you with the ability to transform you body into animals but only a piece, and if you split to warlock get his undead power.
That should be for proficiency of skills and advice for back stories, you don't need to take my opinion seriously do what you want, and if you doing a lv 20 campaign then get you warlock class to 12 or 15 at least for invocations, and 3, 5, 7 lv barbarian.
That all now go away.
Edit: wait I read the undead patron besides being a better undying subclass you should pick path of the zealots for sweet sweet roll play, extra necrotic damage, free revives from necromancy spells like raise dead, reroll save throws, and being the best suicide bomber.
But that's only if you going for the worship the almighty dragolich. But you don't need to do it.
What do you plan to get out of each subclass? My initial thoughts on a 6|6 split are...why?

Bestial Soul on the Barbarian side, and Grave Touched for the Warlock.
Bestial Soul -
The feral spirit within you grows in power, causing the natural weapons of your Form of the Beast to count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
You can also call on the feral spirit to help you adapt to your surroundings. When you finish a short or long rest, choose one of the following benefits, which lasts until you finish a short or long rest:
Climbing
You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and you can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Jumping
When you jump, you can make a Strength (Athletics) check and extend your jump by a number of feet equal to the check’s total. You can make this special check only once per turn.
Swimming
You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, and you can breathe underwater.
Grave Touched -
Your patron’s powers have a profound effect on your body and magic. You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
In addition, when you hit a creature with an attack and roll damage against the creature, you can replace the damage type with necrotic damage.
While you are using your Form of Dread, you can roll one additional damage die when determining the necrotic damage the target takes.
These are both must have, as far as I'm concerned. I know that it's a bit of a stretch as far as multi-classes go, but those are just too good.
After 12th level, I'm not sure which way I'll go - that will be a RP decision. Honestly - I'll probably cap Warlock at 6 and go Barbarian for as long as the campaign lasts...

etc... further levels in either Barbarian or Warlock depending on how the character is developing

For the class features, really -
