feats: gwm(4), elven accuracy (8), sentinel(10), sharpshooter (12) 3xASI or other feats (16,18,20)
fighting styles: blind fighting and gwf (5,14)-not sure which to pick first
extra attacks: (9)(15)- this being delayed hurts
eldrich invocations: devil sight & eldritch mind
Armor: light
Melee weapon: greatsword
ranged weapon: longbow
Strat: try to be melee ultimately using devil sight+darkness to isolate portion of mobs. For bosses or enemies that don’t care about magical darkness will use faeiri fire (drow 3) or hexblade curse. If ranged, darkness+devil sight still applies
Note: no flanking or facing
Magical items are w.e but an amulet of health would be nice
Variant human, crusher feat. 5 levels of champion fighter. Level 4 take slasher feat. Multi class 1 level into warlock for genie/Dao patron for bludgeoning damage.
two weapon fight with hand axes or some other light slashing weapon. When you crit, apply the bludgeoning damage from Dao patron warlock dip. Roughly 27% chance to crit at least once per turn.
your crit fishing can now confers both crusher and slasher benefits on the same crit.
crusher and slasher benefits all bypass save proficiencies and legendary resistances strong monsters usually have. Crits bypass those features.
At higher levels If you stick with fighter eventually you will get to the point where great weapon masters crit effect will proc often enough to somewhat reliably maintain bonus action attacks from the GWM feat itself without need for polearm master. This will begin to happen at the fighter level 11, but will be even more reliable at fighter level 15.

This is a great advice and adds lots of versatility to simple Champions. Thanks for that.
I have a similar concept based on Daolock and Crusher, but with an Arcane Archer abusing Grasping Arrow alongside Hex. It’s insanely good.

There is some overlap and delaying of features(this hurts) but mid-late game 9+ is starts to pop off.
