I made an level 7 variant human Dex based Eldritch Knight for my current campaign. It has crossbow expert and sharpshooter, and I’m using hand crossbow as my main bound weapon.
I need advice on what weapon to use as my second bound weapon?
Preferably something creative, my character is sort of a bounty hunter.
I’m assuming you want a melee weapon. And DEX based means finesse. The obvious answer is rapier, for a DEX based melee. And the more flavorful finesse choice would have to be whip. It’s weak for damage, but it is finesse, with reach and just kind of cool. A dagger can be useful, too, since you can throw it. But if you’re in a place to throw something, you’d just default to that crossbow.
And short swords are just plain boring unless your going the two-weapon fighting route.
Since being disarmed is unlikely to ever come up, the most practical use of Weapon Bond is summoning a thrown weapon or a large weapon that can't be sheathed. Consider a heavy crossbow for when you need more range than a hand crossbow (it's bulky and heavy as hell), a halberd (reach can be useful in some situations) or a handaxe/light hammer (they're finesse, thrown, and too bulky to carry around a half dozen for repeated throws.)

Light hammers and handaxes aren't finesse.
