I play a tiefling queen who.is a paladin and i want to.know how would her tenates work in this case if she is swearing on her kingdom rather than the leader for obvious reasons
It seems like they would work the same, as I read them. But really, this is a question for your DM, so the two of you can work out specifically what they mean to this character in this campaign.
In a situation where there is a king, a true monarch, not a constitutional figurehead, the king is the law and the tenants of the oath derive thereof. The courts ruling is final and the word of the king is beyond appeal To say it bluntly, this ain’t no democracy. If this is contrary to your characters alignment or her understanding of her oath, then she must take her oath elsewhere or overthrown the king.
