my buddies and i are starting a campaign with multiclasses.
im currently making an Aarakocra Rogue Monk, i have 27 ability points to spread out but im kind of hitting a wall spreading them out. what would you recommend for my STH/DEX/CONT/INT etc
any tips or tricks for placing these and picking abilities while leveling?
i was reading about picking the assassin subclass for rogue then when your monk level hits 16/17 chose the way of the shadow.
17 DEX 16 WIS 15 CON 8 in everything else base. Spend your first ASI on 18 DEX, 16 CON. Also, you choose your monk Way at Monk 3, not Monk 16.
Way of Shadow is excellent for Rogue/Monk, if that's your game plan - but you need Blindsight to really make it shine, so you should consider a Fighter dip for it. Now is the time to think about it, because Fighter 1 comes with more hit points - you want to plan out your whole progression ahead of time so you're confident your first level, which gives you hit points, save proficiencies, etc is exactly what you want.
you could also get the blind fighting style from a feat now (there's also a magic weapon... dagger of blindsense or something like that)

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
— A basic prayer.
