Was brainstorming the BM maneuvers that I will take with my multi-classed Soul Knife Rogue and I wanted to poll the brain trust here. Currently Rogue 5/ fighter 2.
One caveat here - my DM has changed the rules so that forced movement still provokes opportunity attacks. I know what the RAW are, but that is the way it is in this game. Let's not discuss that.
Therefore, I think the best options are:
Trip attack Pushing attack Disarming attack
I like these three because they each have multiple uses and can be used together on my turn in tandem with my main action and bonus action attack.
The only one I am not 100% sure on is disarming attack. I have a cool power fantasy of using disarming attack on my main action attack, and then pushing attack with my BA...then just walk up and toss that weapon as far away from the enemy as possible. Or just disarm, then walk up and pick it up and then disengage while carrying it.
I was also thinking of taking the feat at fighter 4 to get additional maneuvers, but I'm not sure on that. I could even change my fighting style from thrown weapon to superior technique to get MOAR MANUEVERS!
Let me know if I'm missing something cool or some synergy that I don't see yet. Thanks!
Disarming strike is all right but you gotta remember it only works against creatures with weapons. Brace will allow you to sneak attack when an enemy approaches you if you keep a rapier on hand(hand swap it between attack and bonus attack).
well with Soul Knife Rogue's psychic blades dos have the thrown properties up to the range of 60 feet so that means you can get creative with a battle master soul-knife build for you can use the psychic blades up close or at range up to 60 feet for some of the Maneuvers can work with both melee and ranged weapons.
like take Goading Attack for not only you add the superiority die to the attack's damage roll the target also must make a Wisdom saving throw and if the save failed then the target will have disadvantage on all attack rolls against targets other than you until the end of your next turn witch i will add that this Maneuver can work with ranged weapons.
also on the soul-knife side at lev 3 not only you have psychic blades but you can also can add you Psionic Energy dice to any ability check and can telepathic communication between yourself and others and if you go lev 9 soul-knife not only you can add your Psionic Energy die to the attack roll for the Psychic Blades witch with mean you can do Maneuvers more easly you can teleport number of time equal to the number of Psionic Energy die's you have.
Disarming, Trip, and Push Attacks are all pretty good. You also might want to look at Riposte. This manuever lets you make an melee weapon attack when an enemy misses you with a melee attack. It's a pretty decent way to get a weaponized reaction to which you can apply Sneak Attack.
also this is just the classes for we had not talk about the race's, feat's, and item's that can go with this build it can be down right nasty depending how you build this PC up and what items you have on it.

I like Riposte. Getting a shot for Sneak Attack off turn is Great, especially if your AC i high enough Mobs miss a lot.

Not missing on your sneak attack is probably the most valuable thing in the game, so I would recommend Precision attack.
Otherwise I would recommend Riposte for second sneak opportunities, and Menacing.
I think as a rogue Disarm makes a ton of sense,
Bait and Switch is a great boost to AC for two party members and fits into the tricksy feel of the rogue.
In general I would avoid the ones that eat your bonus action since you already have a great use for it.
