You are correct. With the "Mask of Many Faces" invocation you can cast disguise self as often as you want without expanding a spell slot. It's a very useful invocation and you should have all the fun you want with it, because... it is awesome.
I have a warlock in my party right now who is totally wreaking havoc with this invocation. He also has the Actor feat and it's been absolutely a blast. We've been fast talking our way through a number of encounters we'd normally have to fight through.
similar thing with invocations... if I have fiendish vigor can I use it every turn and rack up a ton of HP?
Fiendish Vigor allows you to cast False Life at will - it gives temp hit points, and temp hit points never stack. So you'd only get 5-8 temp hit points, using it again would refresh the temp hit points you have. (Although you could go into every encounter with having temp hit points and then recast after each battle...)
The DM just needs to put you into some pressure situations to make it less novel. I mean there's plenty of restrictions on Disguise Selfto where it'd be more rewarding for you to use it often / use it well / have a chance of failure even if it seems a touch OP.
My favorite warlock used it as well.. We had a great Lawful Goofy Paladin in our party so when we were in more casual settings and the party could do what they need to do- WELL I'd take on the appearance of the Paladin and go about the down forcing tithes from people. Great RP group. I miss those guys. #lockon

I've got this Warlock I am in love with and I've been using for quite sometime -"Anon Amos" - I'll keep my question short.
Does the "Mask of Many Faces" invocation really let me cast disguise self at will?
I have been having a hay-day with it and the DM is beginning to question it.
Now, I haven't found anything saying otherwise.
But I also can't find the leftovers in my refrigerator without my wife's help.
Cheers!
Can I dual-wield my fists?

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
