So there's an enormous character sheet feedback thread that's been locked and I know the developers are apparently working on an improved version. Looking forward to it. I'm making this thread, though, to note my own observations because I can't read two hundred pages to see if my comments are reflected. I can say that they weren't reflected in the pages of that thread that I did read. If these comments are redundant (and even if they aren't) please feel free to delete this thread. No hard feelings.
I am *really* loving the character generator and I love your purchase model. I've bought the things I need to make my characters, feel like I'm supporting D&D, and I don't feel overcharged. When I go to export my character sheet, though, it's clear that work is still needed.
In my case, my concern isn't with the math or whether it handles certain multiclass inputs correctly or whatever. It's that the information it chooses to put into the boxes for other proficiencies and languages on the left, and Features and Traits on the right is poorly used. I've had to edit and delete a ton of unnecessary needless information and insert the necessary information. In proficiencies and languages there's no need to auto-write every proficiency that's already signalled by dots in skills and saving throws. The information also ducks back and forth randomly between different kinds of proficiencies . On the right, there are bigger issues. You should put in the unique features of the race and class and a very brief explanation of them. That explanation is missing. And you should delete the contentless text. What does this list of text tell me?
Nothing. It's contentless text. Delete that and use the space to explain what features do so the player doesn't need to memorize that.
I also think there are issues with saving and printing the pdf form. I tried to save the PDF at one point and it wouldn't save as a pdf. I had to print it to a pdf. At another point I tried to save/print and it would do it, but my edited changes didn't show up.
Every time I level I need to re-insert the information that I want on my sheet (such as what my race/class features do). It's clumsy.
From what I understand, the developers are putting their full attention into making the replacement character sheets fully functional, rather than patching the current one in a piecemeal way. I doubt there will be any further tweaks on the current character navigation and PDF sheet until the update is implemented.

Loving the product overall though. Keep it up!
The current export is very much a placeholder, using the standard form-fillable character sheet PDF from the official D&D site.
The character sheet & export are going to be totally replaced, which is part of the reason why the existing thread was locked.
