Hey guys love all the site, I was wondering with homebrew there are certain class features where you pick from a drop down menu. The ones i was thinking of were Fighting Styles & Eldritch Invocations. I was wondering is it possible we could get the ability to make homebrews for these features. I know DnDBeyond has said they cannot do fullblown homebrew options for classes or modifications for the core classes. But I was wondering due to the drop down menu nature of them they could be done, like how features that refer to spells and creatures include ones in your homebrew collection (Additional Magical Secrets as an example).
If it cannot be done thats fine was just wondering if it was a thing and if it was if this post could be considered a voice asking for the feature.

During the most recent Dev update, BadEye indicated this is something that could possibly be implemented at some point in the future. Jeremy Crawford has mentioned that WotC might implement the revised ranger class via ability swapping as you suggest. If that happens, Beyond needs to figure out how to implement it, which then leads to using it for homebrew.
It isnt ability swapping so to speak though. Its more there are certain class features such as fighting styles and Eldtritch invocations where you are given a list of miniature feats geared towards a specific theme.
An example would be swapping class features what your saying would be say choose between the Fighting Style feature and Action Surge (bad example i know but is hard to explain).
What I was looking at was say you have in the fighting style feature a number of suboptions:
Duelist, Defense, Archery, Two-Weapom Fighting, Great Weapon Fighting, Protection.
having the ability to add another sub option to the list that already exists for example in a UA they made the Fighting Style Mariner.
Likewise a similar idea for Eldritch Innovcations, your not actually homebrewing anything to do with the class, (especially where fighting styles are in many classes) but homebrew suboptions in specific class features that are their own list. Which I am not sure if possible but would be probably be easier to do than the replace features that they were discussing.
