It does and I'm not sure that aligns with the flavor of the fighting style. This becomes glaringly relevant to the Gunslinger and I am pretty sure it's a bit overpowered. Furthermore with the gunslinger class it seems like it is a choice that has already been made for you. There is almost no reason to choose any other fighting style.
and why not, adding also the improvised weapons, such as the cavern stalagmites or stalagtites ????
Archery
You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls you make with ranged weapons.
If a character uses a ranged weapon to make a melee attack, or throws a melee weapon that does not have the thrown property, it also deals 1d4 damage. An improvised thrown weapon has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
An Improvised weapon technically doesn't classify as a melee or Ranged weapon, its just a hit something for 1d4. Archery fighting style specifically states the attack must be made with a ranged weapon.

I think that is right. Archery fighting style doesn't say "ranged weapon attack," it says "attack rolls you make with a ranged weapon." I don't see a rule that lets improvised weapons be categorized as ranged weapons.
But it also seems (by the same lack of categorization) that a ranged weapon used to make a melee attack, still adds +2 to hit. In fact, while the rules for using weapons wrong is under the improvised weapon rules, it does not reclassify them as improvised weapons, so only damage dice and modifier (DEX/STR) change, you still add proficiency.

The Gunslinger, while officially supported by DDB, is a Homebrew subclass, so balance issues should be ignored when it comes to that stuff.
That aside, the firearms used in the subclass do officially count as being ranged weapons, so Archery does add the +2, similar to how it would with the official DMG firearms.

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.
Yes that’s what I figured as well. I play a reflavored gloomstalker so level isn’t the problem. But he has only martial weapon proficiency. I don’t know the raw situation at the moment but I checked with my DM and they said martial is fine for them. So I added it manually.

but thanks for the reply 🙂
Firearms are their own class of weapons. They're not considered Martial. That's why you're not getting the bonus. You can manually add Firearms proficiency on the DDB sheets by clicking the little gear icon in the Proficiencies box on the left.

Yes the archery fighting style gives a +2 to hit with firearms, darts, and nets in addition to bows, crossbows, and sling.

My Ready-to-rock&roll chars:
Dertinus Tristany // Amilcar Barca // Vicenç Sacrarius // Oriol Deulofeu // Grovtuk

Is it a Bug that it does not add the +2 Bonus in the Character sheet for Firearms ?
Edit: nevermind, it does.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB
Then why doesn’t my dnd character show that +2 to attacks to my musket?
Maybe your proficiency modifier is missing because youre not proficient (gunslinger only get proficient at lecel 3)
