I've found confusion often comes up with the Attack Action.
This mostly comes up with Druids (Natural Attacks from Wildshape) and Monks (Monk Weapons and Unarmed Strike)
I think it would be very helpful if in possibly under the "Attack" section of Action in Combat you make it explicit what the different attack actions are:
ie:
Melee Weapon Attack
Ranged Weapon Attack
Unarmed Strike
Natural Weapon Attack
Give everyone an explicit description of why they are different. I know these descriptors come up explicitly in things like Feat descriptions or Spell descriptions, but I don't remember find a place where they were all described together. If I'm wrong and they ARE explicitly described then please correct me.
Not sure if its what you are looking for or perhaps you are looking for more than this but under the "Making an Attack" section is a lot more information on attack types:
I think this perhaps what you were referring to, but I'll put it there again. It gives great information on all the non-attack actions, including 'Ready', which can lead to an attack.
Basically I want the Devs to specify the different types of Attack Actions from there.
I've seen a lot of confusion over "Is a monk's unarmed attack a finesse weapon?" or "is the natural attack from Wild Shape a weapon attack?" or "Can I punch a touch attack spell?"
I think it would clear up a lot of the confusion IF in that section Wizards would list out all possible Attacks so players can see one single place that specifies them and why they are different. (ie: why is an unarmed strike not a human's natural weapon?) and listed all the possible attacks types like:
That page we've both now linked says: 'See the "Making an Attack" section for the rules that govern attacks' and that section is up on the Compendium. Perhaps they'll link it in the future, but it at least directs you where to go and covers all of that beyond multi-attacks and natural weapons.
I think listing everything there could cause it to become very cluttered when each class will have its own section anyway when they implement Phase 2.

Darn that post made seconds before my own.
I will then add this - https://www.dndbeyond.com/compendium/rules/basic-rules/combat/actions-in-combat

VillainTheory, I cede the point.
Thank you.
