Great overall so far but when you list equipment to buy during character edit none of the stuff shows the price. It would also be cool if when you added or removed an item you money balance were updated on your sheet.
The reason why the builder does not auto-adjust money is because you could be buying or selling equipment, stealing it and fencing it, getting it as loot or as payment for service, making it (all basic equipment is craftable), etc. The price of the item will change by campaign, circumstance, place of trade, rarity of item in that region and availability of crafters making them. Having the builder auto-change gold on price is funky. Now throw in that there are is variety of different types of coin (not everywhere will deal with gold, generally a commoner almost never sees actual gold, with silver and copper being normal, gold is only for those who are considered wealthy only occasionally making it to commonfolk trading and platinum is extremely rare and electrum being rarer still depending on region). It gets messy. Your starting gold is generally your savings which is all the gold, silver and copper you got taken into a bank and exchanged into gold coins for easy carrying (yes, D&D has banks).
It is therefore up to you to track your finances. All modern computers and smartphones have built in calculators so this isn't exactly difficult.
When needing to know base cost of items just look under Items menu and click official equipment (link). This is a page with all details about basic items (weapons, shields, armour, gear, etc) with filters and prices. Only have X amount of gold to spend? In the max gold filter put in the value and filter and voila, only the items you can afford can be seen. Make a note of the item, deduct value from "max gold" and re-filter. The list will therefore only show what can be afforded after you've decided on each item you want and how much gold you have left. When it comes to adding to your character on the character sheet "add item" bit you just type the names. After you have added everything, go into manage currency and deduct the gold spent. I personally find this a lot easier than searching through the add items bit.

Or they could make it easy to use and functional instead of spitting out excuses as to why it's so hard to do simple things in their program.
I think a base price should be included in the equipment description when you’re adding new equipment, if anything. You shouldn’t have to go to a link to find out something when it could probably easily be displayed.
Hopefully at least that will be implemented sooner than later.

I mean there could definitely be ways to do this.
