I think it's been mentioned a few times before but, the ability to add characters as NPCs (for example, one that the GM has created as the BBEG) in the encounter builder would be a great help. Even if the stat sheet preview doesn't fully work, just being able to add the NPC, see what CR value it has and run the encounter would really help people who can only play on VTTs.
Just make a copy of Commoner (or closest statblock) and rename it? Then you can add that to the encounter builder. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Adding opponents as monsters isn't too big of an ask, but it's annoying that ALL NPCs have to be Monsters. There are 1015 "Monsters" when you exclude legacy content, filter to only Humanoid, and only include the 2024 MM. You really want me to sift through all that when trying to find some NPC with a weird name that I can't remember? Sorting through the Monsters when selecting a token is a mess, I wish we could have an NPC tab with our NPCs in there.

You're better off building your opponents as monsters.
That's actually a really good idea, I'll give that a go. 😁
