This is just some feedback in the form of a feature request.
TD;LR: We need the ability to sort characters into groups because once you start to get more than a few characters, you end up with a huge long list that can make it difficult to find the character you are looking for.
FEEDBACK
Those of us who have the ability to create an unlimited number of characters, do tend to use that ability and over time, end up with quite a few characters - some of which might be copies or copies of copies. I personally do this as a way of building out the characters as I envision them at three or four points between level 1 and level 20 and then I might make a few copies to test out different builds/classes/races and so on.
I also use the character builder to design important NPCS for my games as well as creating PCs to hand out to my players in any one shots or short campaigns that I am running, where it is easier to just balance the party myself and let the players choose which character they want from those available.
This means I end up with lots of characters (some shared, some private). This actually brings us to my feature request now.
FEATURE REQUEST
It would be a good idea if we could sort the characters that we create into groups. Say; a several copies (versions) of a single character, could be sorted into group with that characters name as the title. Or we might sort our characters into PCs and NPCS or by campaign name or something like that.
WHY?
Once we start to create more than just a few characters (especially if we have several version/copies of one character) - we end up with a huge long list that can make it difficult for us to find the character we are looking for.
