Not sure if this has already been posted (TBH I'm not gonna look through 70 pages of threads) but the looking for player/group thread would be better if split into subforums by country and maybe even further divided by state/province/county etc just to make it easier for users to find information relevant to them.
Hi, DeceasedMistress! Thanks for your feedback. We will certainly discuss ways to make this part of the forums easier to navigate. The problem with dividing it into regions is that it makes each section feel like there's less activity. We will certainly see what we can do to make it more user friendly.
I'm curious, how do you feel about requiring threads to use tags, or locations in their titles? That way if someone searches for, let's say San Francisco, they can see all the results with San Francisco in the titles?
We definitely don't want to separate into sections. But I'd love some ideas from the community.
Tags/locations would be an improvement on nothing, though there a quite a few locations that are duplicated around the world, prime example would be Birmingham Alabama & Birmingham England, I was looking at the way the forums are split on the boardgaming website I use (www.boardgamegeek.com) for gaming groups which splits into North America/South America/Europe etc and seems to work without seeming underused. I think it comes down to the fact of how easy it is for players to find a new group (which can be a daunting thing in itself).
Firehawk, this is a horrible way to find games. i actually WAS looking for games around SF and this is all i could find by searching. I should be able to look at my city and see who's posting for groups. good UX is better than "looking" active.

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
